Rimjhim threatens to walk out of Piya Ka...

Narayani Shastri Narayani Shastri, who plays Rimjhim in Piya Ka Ghar (Zee), may soon say good-bye to one of her most popular roles on the small screen. "The show is soon going to see an age leap, and I won't be in it if I have to play the role of a mother." Shastri has been a part of Piya Ka Ghar for more than two years and says it's one of her favourite roles. Even though her role as Taashu in Kkusum (Sony) is more popular than Rimjhim, she openly admits to her loyalties being with Rimjhim. "Many people associate me with Taashu, but I love my role as Rimjhim." However, things may change soon if the show decides to go on the track of other soaps and take an age leap. Post leap, Rimjhim will be shown as a mother of a grown up child, which is where the problem lies. Says Shastri, "I don't want to be seen playing the role of a mother at this time of my career. But I haven't yet made my mind up; there is a fair chance that I might continue also. I have had a meeting with the channel and will see where things go." A part of that meeting was the condition Shastri laid down. "One of the condition I put down was that I would be a part of the leap provided I get to play a double role. Then I can be seen in a mature role as the mother and a younger role as a daughter," says Shastri. Her decision to leave the show is also overshadowed by the fact that she has a new show in the offing, which has her all excited. "I can't reveal what is the exact offer, but it's big and I am really excited about it. If I walk out of Piya Ka Ghar, I will definitely take on this role. The role is of a woman my age, so I have no issues doing it." The channel refused to comment on Shastri's ultimatum on the show, while the producer said, "This is the first time I am hearing of this. I have no clue about her leaving the show. The leap that she speaks of may not even happen, so I really cannot speculate on the future."

isn't she doing an role of a mother wit a grown up child in kusum....and in the role her son looks like his brother!!....then y does she have problems in doing that role in pkg!!

Can anyone say............."Nausheen Sardar Ali: PART 2"!!!! I honestly don't blame her or Naryani for wanting to walk out if this happens. Why are these shows getting these actresses like Rimjhim and Kusum to play the roles of 40 year old women with teenaged children when they don't even look that age. I mean......instead of risking your star actor/actress of the show leaving, why not just end the show and not drag it on. What doesn't make sense is that people like Dr. Simran (whose age has not been hidden from us) plays the role of a mother to a little 2 year old baby and here they want Narayani who is probably not older than 25-26 to play the role of mother to a teenager???????????????????? I don't get it.....why don't you just end the show here and call it a day?!?!?!?!

I second that and good for Narayani...but it made me understand why
Nausheen left Kkusum...that would throw a damper into ones career. If
Narayani leaves PKG, then PKG should end, because it is Rhimjim's
character that makes the show. Oh, god yeh kya hora hain?
