My poetry really has not gotten better (I'll leave it to Re Re- I can't wait to see what you come up with!)

1. Wouldn't I like to wake up to Arnav dressed in that? And Khushi's line about her not being his cook 😆

2. Uff Di, did you have to make his drawl so sexy when he's describing how she looks when she wakes up? Now I'm swooning, and he's not even talking about me 😆

3. Mothers, I tell you!- I swear I say this every hour 😆 I can relate, Khushi, I can relate 😆

4. All I want for Christmas, is Arnav.

5. His innuendos 😆😆😆 And Khushi forever interrupting him!

6. Arnav (well, you) have fantastic taste. Just saying. Someday, you're coming shopping with me.

7. Heheh we both know what'll happen if we get dressed in front of each other 😆

8. Awwwh I really like the little things you have there to show that Arnav is nervous- like the way he doesn't say much in the carriage ride.

9. This is such a fitting, wonderful proposal for them- I love the line you have, where he tells her to accept another promotion. It's so very them, and I think this is your best one liner yet.

10. Again. Please, take me shopping. (in reference to the ring)

11. I love the way you've described this next section- You've captured the essence of a party like this perfectly. The orderly chaos, the people congratulating you, the excited energy... (P.S.: The line about Bhai Behen getting married made me crack up 😆)

12. The scene with her parents made me tear up. The moment when she sees them is so poignant- how proud they are of her, and how delighted they are that she's finally found happiness. Arnav pulled out all the stops- but I think this one is his best surprise yet.

13. The shamelessly putting her hand out! That scene, I legitimately had it playing out in my head. It was such a perfect description!

14. His speech :')

15. The fact that Arnav thought to take his clothes out- he has everything planned 😆

16. LOL- how to sneak around 😆 Arnav seems to be an ace at doing this 😉

17. That song is so perfect for them- and it's a wonderful, wonderful way to wrap this up.

Okay. Now that I have that done. I think I'll save the really senti stuff for the epilogue. But...

I'm so, so, so proud of you. You've written a wonderful, sweet story that moves away from the controlling Arnav who can't say I love you and the Khushi who doesn't stand up to him. These two are two people who love each other, have no hesitations expressing it, and they respect each other- that's the biggest thing.

But besides that- I'm so grateful that I got to be a part of this. I've loved every minute of it. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for letting me be a part- it was so much fun. I loved our late night conversations, texting you when you were writing... everything.

I'm so proud of you. And now I'm tearing up. I swore I'd leave the senti for later, but it failed, apparently.

Res for the end of an amazing journey ...

A sublime setting for the culmination of their incredible journey. On the bridge that arcs over the eddying waters of her past. Taking her away from one man who wanted to snatch her sense of self from the world, to one who wants to lay the world at her feet. The orange glow of the setting sun obliterating the darkness of her past pain, lighting up her future in it's glorious glow.

It's also a wonderful metaphor for the manner in which Arnav connected the modern and the traditional in his proposal. A perfect blend of who they are. A private one for his Khushi and the one with all the rituals for their family's Khushi. The family who love Khushi for herself, and not only for being their Arnav's world.

I loved the way Arnav had made the day so special for her. The love, care, attention to the minutest of details, so touching to see. Adorning her in clothes commensurate with her beauty. And her ring was just perfect. As you said, just so her! As for his way of waking up a somnolent Khushi ... thud, not to mention his special restorative shower ...

"I would put my head on your lap. I miss that..."

Ahh Jigs, where else does one get that sukoon, but on your mother's lap. That belief that lingers in your subconscious however old you are, she'll make it all go away. All teary eyed here along with Khushi. And her reaction when she first hears her Amma's voice at the party ... perfectly written. Her shock, her disbelief, her dawning joy to see her parents there with her to share this special moment in her life, all so beautifully written. As a reader I feel I'm there with her at all times, feeling everything she is. Hats off to you!

This entire update was so touching. A moving portrayal of their deep love and respect for the other. The proposal was totally befitting their journey. Perfect. *Sigh* my Arnav lost forever to me, but I can take solace it's to someone his equal in every way. His toast bearing testimony to what she means to him. As does the song he'd selected to vocalise his feelings - woh dono bane ke doosre ki zindagi. I loved that touch of him wanting to conform with the proprieties and not sleep together until the wedding.

I don't want to believe that this is the last chapter of Stripped :( Will wait for the epilogue before allowing the tears to fall. And Jigs, my darling, I definitely love you more :)

What Stripped is about?

Is it about Aranv and Khushi?

Is it about Jigs's ability?

Is it about corporate America? Or

Is it about concurring the senorita!

Is it a simple love story?

Is it a gentle sweet melody?

Is it words the author penned? Or

Is it a journey with no end!

Is it about relationships?

Is it about friendship?

Is it about concurring ones fear? Or

Is it about questioning the dear!

Is it about the fear of failure?

Is that Khushi's biggest fear?

Is it about getting up after a fall? Or

Is it about having courage for long haul!

Is it about Arnav's charm?

Is he a dream or a body that is warm?

Is it about the measure of a man? Or

Is this man became the measure of all men!

Is it about a pathetic person like Sameer?

Is he even a villain to begin with?

Is it about obstacles life throws at one? Or

Is it about how perseverance in the end won!

This is a journey that started simply

Then it took momentum and explored deeply

The exploration touched upon concerns amply

The journey of many faces and emotions truly

Tears of joy - it's such an under rated phenomenon!!!

And yes, right now I am so happy and so in love with you, Jigs 🤗that I feel the same waterworks are even watering my soul. Just when I thought, reading all this was never a part of me, you came by and made me realize happiness and bliss. Just like Khushi, we were all taken in by Arnav's planning and NO, we did not mind any of his surprises 😃.

The way they smile, the support they give one another, the mutual respect, the unbounded unconditional love, the way they feel and understand each other and most of all, the happiness they want for each other - they truly are one of a kind of "made for each other". A big thank you for presenting this in a way where we all could feel and relate 👏

Oh I wish, I was telling the truth when I say, this will pass over and I will slowly start not missing this. But, in the interest of respecting the dignity of a relationship, which also means accepting the end when it comes, I will promise that I will give it my best shot accepting the fact. Except in my mind and dreams, where I am sure the aftertaste will linger for a long time to come.

P.S. I have to plan my NY trip to visit the boathouse and the bridge 😊

First of all...

Jigs, truly...kya bolun ab?

It seems incredibly fitting that we got this update now, as we are all ready to step into a new year, Khushi is stepping into her new life with a promotion, of future Mrs. Arnav Singh Raizada, and Arnav, with the gift of being the intended for Ms. Gupta.

This update had it all, surprise, joy, tears and love! I absolutely adored how much thought he put into the proposal and engagement party, from the dress, to the carriage ride, the words he used to propose, involving the family, both his and hers, and then, ending with that dance. You've set the bar quite high, woman. Now where will I find someone who would do all this for me, huh?

It seems fitting, that they got engaged in NY, and that too in Central Park. The city has seen their highs and lows, been the background to their budding love stroy, and I honestly think it would have taken away from the proposal if it had happened anywhere but where it had.

The way you have crafted this proposal and engagement party, it is making me crave to be a witness to all the other functions that will be taking place for their wedding. There can't just be an epilogue left, can there? *pout*

Honestly, that was probably your best yet. I can't wait to see what the Epilogue will bring us!

PS: 10,000 words!? Damn!
