Balaji stars show their back to 'Gold' on

It was just last week that the 'Gold Awards' were launched in a pompous fashion but, the show already seems to be running into trouble. The latest to do the rounds was that all the major actors from the Balaji camp have refused to attend the launch party. And though some actors did make an appearance at the launch, a few seem to have turned back on their word.

Anita Hasandani, who is known to be Ekta's special girl pal, did attend the party with beau Eijaz Khan but, now the duo have backed out from attending the awards in September.

Parvati AKA Sakshi Tanwar too has sent her sorry letter saying that she won't be able to be at the awards in Mauritius. The reason why Balaji has asked all their stars to back out is because they plan to host their own award ceremony in 2007.

All is not over for 'Gold Awards' as Mandira Bedi has agreed to host the show and Hussain Kuwajerwala, Rohit Roy, and Manav Gohil have agreed to perform.

Looks like there is some glitter still left for 'Gold'.
