Setting

The family have been invited to a wedding reception in Delhi by a family friend.

Scene 1: SugVi

SugVi are in their room. TVS dressed in a 3 piece suit and tie is standing by the window checking his emails and watching Sugni putting on her jewellery. She is happy, smiling away her mind elsewhere.

Sugni still cannot believe that the man standing in the far corner is her Thakur Saab. He looks soo different in a suit and tie and she had to admit he looked (what was that word in that TV show that Kuhu Thakurian had explained meant bahut kubsurat) oh what was that word haa "hot". She smiles, her face a little red.

As he watches her he reminisces how excited she had become when he told her they had to go to the city as she had never been to the city. When he pointed that she had been to Baneras she said I just stayed at the Khota and got to know the surrounding area but I did not venture out any further. So TVS surprised her by taking her sight seeing. He smiles as he recollects how happy and excited Sugni had been to see everything, the way she kept clutching his arm in excitement, how shocked she was when she saw what some of the girls were wearing and when couples were being intimate in public, how thrilled she was to see a department store and then the small exclusive boutiques. How she had become nervous when he took her to one of those boutiques to buy what she wanted. She had been reluctant to make her own choices so he had deliberately occupied himself on the phone and told her that they had only one hour so that she had to make a decision. In the end she selected 2 beautiful saris, he could not fault her taste, but could not decide and asked him to choose and how shocked she was when he told the assistant that they would take both and even more shocked when she realised the price. As he looks at her dressed in one of the saris he had to admit, although she always looks beautiful to him no matter what she wore, she looked absolutely stunning.

Just then she turns around and says well what do you think? As he walks over to her he says bala ke kubsurat laag rahi ho and then as he reaches her, looks into her eyes and whispers I am a very lucky man. She smiles blushing. She then with her finger touches the kajol in the corner of her eye and then reaches up and put a black mark behind his ear. TVS - yeh kya kaar rahi ho? Sugni - Kaala tikka laga rahi hu ke aap ko hameri he nazar ne lag jaye. TVS looks at her bemused and then slowly repeats what she did and says yeh zaaya zaruri hai. He then kisses her forehead and says chale leading her out of the room.
