Sanjay Gupta is at it again! The director who is known to adapt' western films for Bollywood is doing the same with his latest film Jazbaa, which incidentally also happens to be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback film. The buzz is that Jazbaa is an adaptation' of the 2007 South Korean film, Seven Days and narrates the story of a female lawyer who is forced to fight the case of an alleged criminal on a death row in exchange for her kidnapped daughter and has only a period of seven days for the trial. The Indian adaptation sees Ash taking over the mantle of the Lawyer and will have ShabanaAzmi and AnupamKher playing prominent roles along with John Abraham in an extended cameo as a gangster.
With Bollywood's new age film makers taking the official rights' route to remaking foreign and even other Indian films in Hindi, wonder whether Gupta has actually acquired the rights for Seven Days? Official confirmation is still awaited.
