Oh okay, I see. Though I don't think giving them last names would divide viewer loyalties. Every popular show has last names for its characters, and that didn't stop the audience from loving them equally all over the country (and even abroad). Heck, we all read foreign fiction and watch foreign shows/movies. We identify with them regardless of their nationality. 😆
