Avdhoot dialled her number from his cell phone. But after some time, no one picked the phone, and the call got disconnected.
Now he was beginning to worry too, a frown line forming on his forhead.
Kalindi had stopped pacing and now was standing beside him. She asked what happened, in sign language and tried to grab his cell from his hand.
He again redialed her number, chewing his lips with worry and raised his hand to stop Kalindi from taking his cell.
After the third ring, someone said hello in a hoarse voice
Avdhoot froze. It was a man's voice...
At that instant someone gave a high pitched scream from behind that voice...
Avdhoot felt sweat broke all over him. It was Astha's scream...
