Wow! what a cracker of an episode today. After two days of drought, it simply rained Sahir today! Last two days I kept wondering, kept discussing how writers would get Arzoo out of the preg mess, how would Sahir know she is innocent and finally it happened with such a dhamaka! Sahir was truly amazing today, I guess all the superlatives apply to HC for his acting, he brings life to Sahir's character so beautifully that all you can do is just gape at the screen when he is there.
The opening scene absolutely rocked. Sahir's shark character came to the fore. The way he twisted the shaving knife into Rahman's throat was beyond par. He didn't raise his voice but looked truly menacing when he drew blood. More clap worthy was the way he slapped the tickets on Rehman's chest and warned him off. Truly a man in charge and one you wouldn't want to cross easily.
I have to also praise Rehman's character. The actor modulates his voice beautifully to sound the part. Every time I heard him on the phone, I felt that he was an extremely shady, gunda type character. He always sounded negative, like someone trying to put a spanner in Sahir's dream of cracking the deal. His entry into Sahir's room to tell him he had murdered his guy and then his planned drama on the bfast table were a nice touch, He knew he had cornered the shark, and how!! I have a feeling that he knows about Sahir's past and will use it against him someday for sure.
Zaki was in his character completely. He knows he is being trapped into marriage He has been with enough girls to know that he is being named the culprit for no reason and clearly tells Sahir that without flinching. But what got me that Zaki is a weak character. He uses Arzoo as an aid to hide about Samaira initially, but his support towards Arzoo seems really weak when he is confronting everyone. If he really loved her, he would have given it back to KA and big lips big time for calling Arzoo horrid names because of him. But he was more in defending mode today and later when he was talking about wanting to marry Arzoo, he sounded exactly like samaira, both spoilt brats who are used to getting what they want. I guess thats why they deserve each other. Sehbaan is a flawless actor, he emotes effortlessly, Wish they would show more of his funny side, his comic timing is spot on!
But while this was happening and Arzoo was crying and KA was being funny aka "Ai hai Zaki ke paas bahut time hai aajkal" 🤣 , I was only watching HC's reaction. It was like he was stunned into silence initially, and later he was just so angry at the turn of events that he completely lost it. His subdued anger, his careful consideration of every word that was being spoken there, the way he warned Zaki to the time he slapped him, was like a storm waiting to hit someone and god forbid anyone who got into its way. When Arzoo ran out, his attention didn't shift for a min, it was still riveted on the talks around the table. His expression, his body language and the look after he slapped his brother were just so spot on. I got goose bumps literally after seeing his reaction.
The talk between the two siblings again brought out the best in Sahir. He loves his brother and thats why is ready to hear him out despite Zaki's grave mistake that has cost him his deal.He was exactly like the big brother who didn't feel bad slapping his younger bro for his stupidity. But when Zaki said he loved Arzoo and wanted to marry her only,Sahir's expression were to die for!! His anguish, his disbelief, the realization that his bro was talking about Arzoo were really heart wrenching. Every emotion flitted through his face within seconds and the way he clenched his fists, was really fabulous. HC nailed it again, my eyes were glued to his face and every emotion that he displayed gave me terrible goose bumps ! I knew someone was going to pay for getting him into this angry mood,
The only disappointment today was Arzoo. I don't understand why the Cvs are bent on butchering her character. I understand that she doesn't want to talk about why she faked pregnancy in front of Rehman and Sahir coz she doesn't want them to know that it was because of the deal. But what stops her from giving it back to Big lips Anam when she calls her garbage and good for nothing, living under her roof ? She can at least save her self respect by telling Anam that she cant speak to her badly but she doesn't. For once she should stand up to KA and Anam the way she stands up to Sahir.
N despite the fact that the cat is out of the bag, Alvira surprisingly doesn't say anything either, even KA says ki begum why aren't you supporting your bakri' I am more disappointed because Arzoo's character in the initial days was like don't mess with me dude and now its like she is ready to take all the shit from everybody all the time. I just hope they make Arzoo shine again with better dialogues and a good no nonsense attitude She will definitely need it with all the vamps around.
All and all it was a very satisfying episode for me and I am really looking forward to tomorrow's episode. There is going to be a SAAZ confrontation according to the precap. I don't want to discuss it beforehand because the teasers usually portray that is far from what they actually show in the episode ! So lets wait for tomorrow before commenting. Humsafars absolutely rocks for me and Harshad is to die for !! You can't just get enough of the guy ! I don;t know about other TV actors because I don't watch serials but i think he is an actor par excellence and deserves all the accolades for getting into the skin of the character so well.
