Anjali and Akash can be called amateurs because they probably didn't know anything about mountaineering or the Everest. However, they got themselves trained in one of the best institute of India. Akash because he was sent there by Roongta and Anjali did it to fulfill her dream.
Although Akash seemingly didn't put any effort except going to Roshan to overcome his acrophobia and vertigo Anjali tried to learn anything that she could from the internet.
Coming to my point, Roongta have spent money on this project. Its like his dream yet he knows very little about mountaineering or the Everest? He din't train himself, he has no idea about the basics of mountaineering. He doesn't know what AMS means He has no idea why one weather expert is needed in this expedition but of course offers to do the job ?
Why didn't he research anything about it ? He wants to make a documentary on it yet he didn't bother to interview Abhayankar who have completed Everest expedition 6 times. Why only him ? There are others who can give him a proper report. We saw he has people who dig information for him. Either its about Akash's mortgaged home or Arjun's past he knows it all because he has proper source. What happened with his biggest project ?
Is the man this much delusional ? Wrong step in the mountains means death. One can be careless about other's life but putting his own life at stake by not taking proper measures doesn't match his character. He was shown as a very calculative and manipulative man.
