CHAPTER - 1
[CANADA]
A girl was standing in front of the school gate waiting for her car to pick her up.She was just asking the watchman of the school about the time after every 5 minutes.At last she got bored and sat on a basement outside the school gate.Making a sad face,she said,"I know mama again forgot to pick me up.Hamesha mujhe promise karti hai that we will have lunch together par hamesha bhul jaati hai.Hamesha koi na koi meeting ya flight hoti hai unki."Just then a smile appeared on her face and she said,"Though I have never seen him,but I know mere daddy aise bilkul nehi honge."At that moment,a car stopped in front of the gate and the girl ran hurriedly towards it.The driver opened the door and an elderly lady came out of it.The girl gave a sigh of disappointment and asked,"Mama phir se bhul gayi na nani aur isiliye unhone aapko bheja hai?Now don't tell me ke unko achaanak se koi bohot important kaam aa gaya hai.Hai na?"The lady shook her shoulder and said,"Ab main aur kya kahu.Chalo betho,mama nehi hai to kya hua,naani hai na.Aaj hum dono ek saath lunch karenge aur vo bhi tere favourate restaurant mein."The girl happily hugged her grandmother and said,"You know nani you are my bestest friend kyuki ek aap hi ho,jiske saath mein daddy ke baare mein baat kar sakti hu aur aapko gussa bhi nehi aayega."The girl sat inside the car and the driver drove off.The girl asked,"Ek baat to bolo nani,kya daddy bhi aise hi the...I mean promise karke bhul jaane waale?"The woman replied,"Nehi oye!!Hum punjabiya apne wade kabhi nehi bhulte hai.Tera baap jab bhi teri ma ko koi promise karta tha na,to har haal mein usko nibhaata tha.Tere nana Punjabi nehi hai na aur teri ma bilkul apne baap pe gayi hai."The girl asked,"Really???To phir main kispar gayi?"The woman smiled and then kissed on her forehed and replied,"Oye puttar tu to hai na apne baap par gayi hai.Punjabi baap ki Punjabi beti."The girl was very happy to hear it and they went to a hotel where they had lunch together.
The girl described above was Bulbul Saluja,8 years old daughter of Captain Ananya Rawat and Captain Akash Saluja.Ananya was the daughter of Ranjit Rawat,ex Indian Air Force Officer and the owner of QUEENS AIRLINES.The company was established in Delhi where Akash was a senior pilot and Ananya was a rookie pilot who started off her career in her own airlines company.They fall in love,got married and then separated due to some reasons.Ananya became very quiet and she went to depression after her marriage failed and so Ranjit shifted his whole business to Canada so that Ananya could stay away from her memories.On reaching Canada,she realized about her pregnancy but didn't inform Akash about that.Eeveryday,Ananya used to spent some time alone with Akash's photo and her father tried to get her freed legally from that relation,so that she could start afresh.Though Ananya didn't like talking about Akash,but Bulbul,she loved her father just because her grandmother.In order to forget Akash,Ananya always remained busy in her work,giving less time to Bulbul and so Ananya's mother Madhurima took care of her and she never let Bulbul forget her father.She used to tell Bulbul about Akash everyday which was not liked by Ananya and Ranjit.Ananya and Ranjit even tried to change Bulbul's sirname during her birth but Madhu didn't allow them.Bulbul was a typical Punjabi,just like her father and was a big fan of bollywood films and Punjabi foods.After being separated for 8 years,still Ananya and Akash were not divorced.
[ INDIA ]
The walls of a gym of a lavish apartment was covered fully with photographs of a woman and a couple and the same man in the photograph was working out.The man was Captain Akash Saluja,presently the co-owner of KINGSTON AIRLINES,alongwith his college friend Natasha Gupta's father,Shekhar Gupta.Natasha used to love him since 12 years,but Akash loved only Ananya and Natasha was just her friend.He married Ananya leaving Natasha heartbroken.Ananya's father never approved of their marriage due to the difference in their class.After Ananya stepped out of Akash's life,he was so angry on everything that out of desperation to be rich,he proposed a business deal to Shekhar and both together founded the new aviation company.With Shekhar's financial support and Akash's hard work,it soon grew to be one of the 10 best airlines companies alongwith QUEENS AIRLINES.Natasha grabbed this opportunity and came close to Akash and one day her father proposed her marriage with him.Since Akash didn't divorce Ananya,so at first he was not ready but thinking that Natasha waited for him for 12 long years,he thought of not torturing the person,who loved him so dearly and so he agreed for the marriage,a sort of compromise so that at least the one,who really deserved happiness and who stood by him everytime can be happy.
After his workout,while he was having is protein shake,his cellphone rang.From the other side,Natasha was calling him.The convo :-
A :- "Yes Natasha!!
N :- "C'mon Akash aise sukhe sukhe Yes Natasha!'Kuch dino baad hamaari engagement hai aur shaadi bhi ho jaayegi aur tum ho ki abhi bhi kitne unromantic ho."
A :- (gave a dry type of smile) "Main gym mein hu Natasha and right now Iam very tired.Mujhe abhi fresh hona hai aur phir office bhi jaana hai."
N :- "Ya ya I know,par main ye soch rahi thi ke aaj engagement ki shopping kar lu.Maine papa se bhi baat kar li hai to tum please mere saath aaj chalo."
A :- "Uh...Natasha...Iam sorry main nehi chal sakta,meri aaj flight hai and you know,main apne flight ka schedule change nehi karta.Tum...Mahima ko lekar chali jaao.Vaise bhi mujhe shaadi ke shopping par jaana pasand nehi hai."
N :- "Ok I understand,main tumhe force nehi karungi.Main Mahima ke saath chali jaaungi you just take care."
A :- "Ya bye."
Both cut the call.While doing shopping,Natasha and Akash's common friend,Mahima asked,"Natasha tumhe lagta hai ke Akash se shaadi karke tum khush rahogi?"Natasha was confused and asked,"What do you mean?"Mahima said,"Nehi jo aadmi 8 saal tak apna pyar nehi bhul saka.Kya vo aagey chalkar bhul paayega?I mean Ananya uska pehla pyar hai."Natasha replied,"Don't worry!!Main Akash se bohot pyar karti hu aur mera pyar dheere dheere uske dil se Ananya ki har yaad mita dega."Mahima replied,"Sochlo Natasha,kahi tumhe aagey chalkar pachtaana na pare.Main tum dono ki dost hu isliye main chahti hu ke tum dono khush raho,par main ye nehi chahti ke ye khushi kisike liye khushi aur kisike liye sirf samjhauta bankar hi reh jaaye."Natasha replied,"Aisa kuch nehi hoga Mahima.Just chill!!"Mahima just smiled in reply.
[ CANADA ]
Ananya returned late at night as usual and thought of going to Bulbul's bedroom and found that she was watching TV.Ananya walked upto Bulbul and just about to start a conversation,but Bulbul said,"Iam sorry Bulbul beta,main thora late ho gayi.You know na office mein kitna kaam rehta hai and I had a busy schedule today.Main ekdam se bhul gayi aur jab yaad aaya to maine naani ka bhej diya tumhaare paas.I promise agli baar pakka jaayenge."Bulbul looked disappointedly at her mother and asked,"Do you have anything different to say than that?"Ananya held her ears and said,"Iam really sorry Bulbul!!Par maine aaj tme nikaala tha par you know nanu..."Bulbul nodded her head and said,"Ya right!!I can understand."Ananya said,"Ok aaj mujhe sorry nehi chahiye,ye bolo tumhe kya chahiye?Anything you want,you'll get it today."Bulbul asked,"Anything I want?"She replied,"Yup!!"Bulbul got down of her bed and then ran out of her room.After that she returned with a photo frame and said,"Mujhe inka address,phone number,email sab chahiye."Ananya felt disgusted as she brought Akash's photo with her.Out of disgust,she threw the frame on the bed and said,"Bulbul why do you do this everytime?Tumhe pata hai na I don't like it."Bulbul took the frame and was about to throw it in the floor but Ananya screamed an stopped her.Bulbul said,"Aap khud daddy ka photo pillow ke neeche rakh kar soti ho,I was trying to break it but you screamed.Aap bhi meri tarah daddy se pyar karti ho na.So why don't you tell me his whereabout?"Ananya replied,"Bulbul please,mujhe har roz ki ye chik chik achchi nehi lagti hai.Mera luck kharaab hai jo ye mera husband hai."Bulbul replied,"Ok fine!!I won't ask you about your husband but tell me about my daddy."Ananya was so disgusted that she didn't argue with her and picked up the photo and said,"Apni umar se zyaada baat mat karo Bulbul.Jis baat ko lekar beth jaati ho,bas beth hi jaati ho.Tumhaare daddy se peeche choota nehi,tumse paala par gaya.Pehle tumhaare daddy ne meri jaan khaayi ab unki kasar tum puri kar rahi hu.Punjabi kahiki!!"Bulbul was so happy that she bowed and said,"Thank you Mrs Saluja!!"Ananya was about to leave but stopped on hearing Bulbul addressing her as Mrs Saluja,since it was only Akash who used to call her that,but after a few seconds she left from there.After Ananya left,Bulbul said,"Chahe aap mujhe kuch bhi na batao mama,par main apne aap se promise karti hu ke main mere daddy ko dhundh kar hi nikaalungi,chahe mujhe kuch bhi karna pare.After all jo cheez karne ki manaayi ho vo karne mein mujhe bohot maza aata hai."Bulbul gave a determined and evil smile.
