Those anguished eyes burning in pain

What an incredibly frustrating episode!
I knew tonight's episode would be pretty dramatic but I guess I wasn't prepared to see the amount of pain and anguish in Sahir's eyes. As an avid viewer, I am so used to seeing his mood swings and equally smouldering anger that he exuberates when he's in Gabbar Chaudry mode. But this pain that his eyes reflects, makes me want to cry 😭

Yesterday he behaved like Arzoo's possessive lover and when he saw her and Zaki together. Then his past experiences and his fears came together and almost immediately he was consumed by it when he called her a betrayer at the hospital. I feel that no matter how much of a soft spot Arzoo may have on him, he is obviously ruled by his fears and sorrows. Perhaps by his bitter past, he probably now assumes every girl is the same. (And here i was thinking that a miracle occurred during the previous Asharfi's episode)
SIGH.

Today was a little different. It began with Sahir probably questioning himself on how could he make a mistake again (Just you wait Gabbar Chaudry! when you realise how wrong you have been to judge Arzoo, I'd like to see how you make it up to her.)
Or better yet, when Sahir realises that Arzoo is aware of his poor and quick judgement about her, I'd really like to see him convince her why he is currently programmed to think like the way he does (perhaps a peak into his past should be shown to Arzoo.)

Everyone seems to be getting angry with Arzoo for not saying anything in tonight's episode. I admit, i did too but if you had been watching the drama from day 1, you would understand that this is exactly how Arzoo is programmed to be- always ready to extend a hand of support and especially so if the person claims innocence. Her character may be innocent but she stands up for the people she believes in (Gabbar Chaudry, take note of this and learn 😆)

Notice how Sahir and Arzoo complete each other with their complexities?
He has his past and is mercurial in his behaviour. She too has her past, but is more of the composed one(at least compared to him) Sahir is this raging fire and Arzoo is the calming water to that fire.

Every time Arzoo is wrongly accused in the house, the truth about her always surfaces in one way or another. I can only hope that Zaki comes to his senses and tells everyone the truth.
If he really cares for Arzoo, he should know that he should not keep quiet any longer.

Another interesting turn that the story could take is when Arzoo's family comes to know of the accusations thrown at her and they decide to head back to lucknow. I mean enough is enough right? How long more will the poor family take in insults coming their way?
Knowing Arzoo, she may not agree with it initially but seeing how her Gabbar Chaudry too had believed the rest might push her to comply and head back home with the rest.
Perhaps the interesting part would be Sahir finding out the truth and chasing after Arzoo to come back. (That might be an interesting sequence to watch yes?)

Honestly, I don't know what the next two days episodes hold but I'm sure we get to see more of Gabbar Chaudry for sure. Lastly, these rumours about the TRP being down for the show, is it really true? I really hope not. Perhaps the creative heads of the show must understand that they cannot
prolong Zeenath's mystery for too long and start telling the viewers what exactly went wrong instead of keeping us in the dark. Agree?

Nice post..it was really gut wrenching to see Sahir in so much pain. I still don't get it why Arzoo had to keep quiet. She could have at least said its not her and when the time comes she will tell them...after that whatever anybody accused her wouldn't matter. Instead of that taking the blame on herself doesn't make sense..

Great post and totally agree. I also think Aarzoo is behaving as per her nature. Of course there are a million things she could have done better but As onlookers it's always easy to judge.
I cannot wait until Sahir finds out the truth. He will melt! And there new stronger bond will definitely be the foundations of a proper relationship between the two.

With regards to TRPs - I also feel it is possible the Zeenat angle is doing this. The mass audience unfortunately do expect their leads to be conventionally perfect in all ways and can't quite deal with the A deviation from their moral high ground. I think they probably added it as something which might intrigue the audience but I think it's backfired on the majority perhaps. I personally am totally empathetic even if he were married and fell in love 7 years later. However, I do believe that we will find that Sahir is either not really married at all or has had a divorce. They will have to do this.
I for one love the serial just the way it is and feel it's important that indian tv offer a variety which appeals to different people. I don't watch saas bahu serials which top trp charts. It's not my thing and I know there are so many of us out there. They need to measure popularity based on their target audience and not the full populations. Just the same way they make masala movies fur the masses and something a little off beat for niche audiences. Tv needs to be the same.

Well said VD927!
The only reason that made me start watching Humsafars was the very first promo. I felt it was not just a typical saas bahu serial (I hate them!). Aarzoo's character was like a breath of fresh air. But sadly the TRPs don't agree with me. Indian TV audiences are so used to watching these regressive saas bahu serials!

Well said VD😊 You are a girl after my own heart. I do not watch serials because most of them are a rehash of same old same old regressive stories. This one caught my attention during the promos as the girl seemed refreshingly bold enough to take on her mother's name and to set right a fashion honcho;s attitude towards her clothes. Till now the serial hasn't disappointed me. I love Arzoo-Zaki interaction, reminds me of our male friends in college and at work, where we all shared a lot of light hearted moments together and helped each other out of boy and girl troubles.

I really wish that the writers will continue to write the way they have envisaged the story and the characters, rather then falling into the TRP trap and mass appeal syndrome. If they do that, they will lose fans like me, who are in it only because Humsafars is so refreshing and believable and unlike the typical loud saas- bahu serials.

Just hope the CVs do not disappoint us in the future tracks, they have had an explanation for everything till now, hope they find a convincing solution for this situation as well.

So true. And I loved what you said about his past experiences and fears coming together.

I agree that it is very like her to take the higher path. And chances are she is doing it for the sake of the deal and not to protect Zaki. However I do wish she had stood up for herself - she can definitely do that without revealing that Sam is pregenant. .
