Good looking, successful and very much in love, this couple reflects a certain chemistry which is visible to one and all. Here Hiten Tejwani talks to Natashia Nafis about her love for Gauri, how they met and what keeps them going. Q: How did you both meet? A: We first met during the making of an ad. Both of us were signed for the Breeze ad and I still remember we didn't have much of an interaction during the entire shoot. Q: So, was it love at first sight for you? A: Not exactly. I found that Gauri was a very different kind of a girl. She always kept to herself and never mixed around too much. Infact, we had no interaction at all on the first few days. Q: What did you think of Gauri, when you met her for the first time? A: She came across as a complete no-nonsense girl to me. She was an introvert and made sure that she maintained her distance from everyone around. Gauri is the kind of girl, who wouldn't make an effort to talk to you, unless and until she doesn't know you well. Q: So, when did you realize that she was the girl for you? A: It all began when we came together to work again in the tele serial, Kutumb. But even then, we hardly had any interaction in the first six months, may be just a hi-hello at times. Then, slowly she started to open up and became comfortable with me. We started going out also, and it was then that I got to see the other side of Gauri, a side that was so endearing. Q: What's been the most romantic thing that you've done for her? A: As usual I was working on this Valentines as well, and Gauri was home. So after shooting while I was returning home, I picked up a bunch of fresh red roses for her. And since it was already late, I knew that she must've slept by then, and I wasn't wrong. So, I very quietly, kept that bunch on her side and went to sleep. She saw the flowers in the morning and was pleasantly surprised, especially because she thought that I had absolutely forgotten about the V-Day. You know, the look on her face was priceless and all the effort that went into finding the flowers, was really worth it. Q: How did you propose marriage to her? A: You know, the best part about our relationship has been, that we never really needed to say anything to each other. Our chemistry is just so amazing that it's unbelievable. And honestly, we never really proposed to each other. Q: What do you think is your strength as a couple? A: It's got to be the kind of understanding we have with each other. Most relationships fall apart, because they don't have the required understanding between them. We both believe in giving enough space to each other and that I think comes from the amount of trust we have between us. Q: Any habit of Gauri, that you think, she can do without? A: Yeah, she's a little short tempered and I think that she just needs to relax and have some patience. Q: How dependent are you both on each other? A: (Smiles) I don't know about her, but I am extremely dependent on Gauri for everything. Last Updated : [6/16/2007] |
