Hey guys!
I just watched all 11 episodes in one go. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be watching it as a regular show. But it is an Etka show - that makes me nervous. I think everyone here has been burnt once because.

Like any show, IKNMP has its pros and cons:

Pros

  • Cast - I think the cast is really strong - Pallavi and Ronit are amazing actors and supportive cast is decent as well.
  • The plot is also promising. The mystery of why the couple broke up and their kids bringing them back together.
  • Much evilness isn't needed at the moment, Ragini and Nachiket are good at keeping each other at bay without anyone else. But Pam is showings signs of future antagonist and I think she'll be good at it. I feel though the drama is over done at times, generally its a good balance.
  • Suhani and Agam are adorable! Especially cause I watched Pallak Jain in her old show. Looking forward to seeing more of them.
Cons

  • I wish Nishi was older. An 18 year old getting married is not what I wanted to see. Ragini is absolutely right, getting married at an young age is not what young women should be doing. At 18 she should be studying, working for a name for herself. I really hope Nishi continues to study after she's married and makes a name for herself
  • Nishi's behavior is slightly erratic. Sometimes she loves her mom, hates her dad. Then loves her dad and hates her mom, running away etc...Her behaviour just didn't flow for me.
  • Last and the biggest issue for me: How do parents just split their kids and never see them again? That is so unbelievable - parents fight for their kids in this case. And none of the kids have any proper anger (other then the older one) for their missing parent in life. Realistically they should have anger that their second parent hasn't even tried to contact them.
  • How is Suhani applying for colleges at 16? 😆Unless she skipped ahead and I missed them pointing that out, it doesn't make any sense.

Despite these issues, I am still enjoying this show. More then Nachiket's arrival, I am waiting for Suhani and Agam reunion with their mother.

Any thoughts?

Nice post and I am loving the show as well.

About Nishi yes her character we need to wait and see how will it be developed. She is very fickle minded I would say. She is more like a kid who cant take decisions.
Regarding hatred about the missing parent, what I feel is they have been given so much love that they never asked about the other parent. Nishi & Aarav did tell that & Suhani & Aagam as well that they never asked about Dad/Mom.
Ranbir being the elder one might be influenced by Pam so he has so much hatred towards Ragini.
he might have been of around 5 years of age at the time of separation so he would be knowing more about the separation. May be they had to fill negativity in his mind so that he does not miss his mom. Others were too small to understnad any of this.

Welcome to the forum, Star!
Always good to have more people joining in the fun..
I'm just sold at the concept of Ronit and Pallavi playing the leads.. all their interviews and interactions have been nothing short of delightful. Cannot wait for that chemistry to sizzle on my screen.

About Nishi's age, I think that was put in so that Ragini does not need to more than 40 years old (Pallavi's concern of playing an oldie maybe) hahahaha they could have made it about Ranbir's wedding I guess.. he seems to be 20..

Agree about that point though, 18 is too young :(

Welcome to this forum!

I agree with your points, especially the cons. Parents don't bothering about their distant kids is unbelievable and we discussed it several times before. Nishi behaves like a pendulum..😆

They just haven't shown that aspect of them missing the other kids I think..
it will come to the fore in the upcoming episodes..

How do you finish 11th or 12th at 16? I finished 12th at 17, and I'm one of the youngest in my batch.

It still surprises me how neither parents misses nor wants to meet their other children. Impossible. If they had even so much as appealed to court to be able to meet their other children, they would've got permission to meet atleast on a Sunday afternoon. If they had made even a little bit more effort than that, family court would've asked both parents to live in the same city to let the siblings meet each other. But no.

This is a kekta drama, I've learnt to give a blindeye to these things over the years of watching her stuff. She will never learn.

I don't know the Laws in India regarding custody issues! but having worked in Family Law section in another country, I do know that a husband and wife can enter into an out of court settlement. In the serial it is mentioned that they both agreed to divide the kids and be responsible for the upbringing of them and not try to contact each other or the other children. It was a joint decision.
