I am still positive that RS is stalking Bala, though it might not be revealed in the beginning itself. An obsessive lover for Raman does not make any sense to me, particularly at this stage of the story. Rather, after Ishita-Raman, Shagun-Ashok and Mihika-Mihir, I feel it's testing time for Bala and Vandu. Remember the Vandu-Simmi conversation? It might have been a hint at what was up in store for Vandu...an unfaithful (?) husband, trouble in paradise.

RS might not be the owner, but she definitely holds a high position and is sufficiently well off to afford a chauffeur-driven car.

It could be. Either she owns the hotel or holds a high position of that hotel, so she's not a college girl. A woman from that high class would be an obsessive lover of a simple tone like Bala is not perceivable though.
