^^correct, but that is as much of mockery of Hindu customs as the QH sham marriages are of Islamic rituals.

Just coz TV serials show it, does not make it correct.

Above was just my response to comment on presumed lack of correctness on Hindu customs

Sure I get it, all marriages have checks and balances to make them foolproof but movie makers cash in by looking for loopholes or many time fabricating them

What she has just shown is UTTER DRIVEL! The marriage conducted between Aahil and the ORIGINAL Sanam in July WAS a legal marriage in every sense! Both their full names were read and the full names of their fathers were read as well! They BOTH knew who they were marrying!

When Aahil and Sanam got married, it was so Aahil can fulfill the condition of his Father's Will by getting legally married before his 30th birthday! So the marriage was legal in EVERY sense and was also permanent. The agreement that Tanveer made with Sanam was that in 3 months, Sanam can divorce Aahil after he gets his Father's property. It was an "Informal agreement" there was NO written agreement to that effect, as legally you CANNOT marry someone for 3 months, 6 months or a year! The LAW does not allow temporary marriages. The people involved can try to either annul the marriage or divorce, and that is up to them! But the law itself will not allow a marriage with an "Expiry date!"

Also, the lawyer was in attendance at the wedding and if he had known they were intending to divorce in 3 months, he probably would not have started the process to transfer the property to Aahil, because it was imperative that this marriage be GENUINE for it to fulfill the conditions of the Nawab's WILL!

Suddenly as soon as the show gets a 1 year extension, the VALID Nikah of Aahil and Sanam becomes a "Temporary and invalid" Nikah, and they have to re-marry. But THIS marriage, which in actual fact is ILLEGAL because the groom didn't actually know who was behind the veil will now be touted as LEGAL? This is utterly LUDICROUS and I cant believe that ZEE TV is allowing this drivel to be telecast? They are going to just let this LIE be propagated that marriages can be legally set aside without a divorce, and you can marry someone without knowing WHO they are, and then be FORCED to stay married to a person you didn't consent to marry?

All those living in India, PLEASE complain to the Broadcasting standards authority about the LIES that the makers of this show are trying to represent as REAL! This should not be allowed. They should show Aahil CATEGORICALLY REFUSE to accept this marriage, and insist on the marriage being ANNULLED. In actual fact it doesn't even need to be annulled, coz the marriage is NOT legal! But if this is not what the makers were intending to do, then we must MAKE them do it, coz this is beyond a joke now!

I will go on the record and say, I am a non Muslim, and I am also a Non Indian. But I take EXCEPTION to the religion and culture of others, and also the institution of marriage, being made a mockery of for so called RATINGS!

Gul Khan's brand of sick jokes are NOT funny, and she needs to stop laughing! Coz she is making a laughing stock of everything, and mostly her audience! IF she thinks we will tolerate watching her make a joke out of a scared ritual YET AGAIN, then the joke is on HER!

I was wondering how come the marriage was dissolved soo easily... I'm still confused by that. No divorce was done.. no papers signed.. SAHIL ARE still married!
