HOSPITAL

Principal has informed Khushi's parents. Doctors are trying to get Khushi back to normal state. Arnav is getting restless outside the ward. By now the water from Khushi's body is taken out and she starts gaining conscious.

Khushi - Cough...cough...(slowly open eyes)

Doctor - Easy...easy...girl...(She looks around)

Khushi - How did I come here?...I was...

Doctor - You accidentally fell into pool. ASR got you here...

Khushi - Arnav?

Doctor - He was very tensed...let me send him...

Khushi - Hmmm ... (Doctor goes out and Khushi slowly gets up and sits, starts thinking to herself)... Arnav is tensed for me...? I think I should tell him who I am...I don't know why I decided to keep my identity secret...by now someone from college would have told...would he get angry on me?(Arnav barges in...coming near)

Arnav - Tum teek ho?

Khushi - Haan...Thanks for bringing me here.

Arnav - Leave that... Why did you go near pool when you dint know swimming and that too in saree...what if doctors failed to save you... idiot (cups her cheeks)

Khushi - Arnavji... You don't even know me... Why are you getting so

Arnav - Worried? I don't know but I started having connection with you from the day I met you...I know its crazy but that's the truth...by the by everyone in your college address you as Khushi why? Don't they like your name?

Khushi - No that's my name

Arnav - So you are Khushi Verma? (Smiles...Khushi closed her eyes in fear)

Khushi - No its not, I want to tell you something

Arnav - Its ok...Not now... You rest... I will liten to your name story when you are fine (he kiss her forehead and was making her lay down when Shashi and Garima enter)

Garima- Khushi what happened...?

Shashi - how could you drown?

Khushi - Papa...I don't know ... Maaa... I am fine now don't cry (She consoles her parents. Arnav is shocked to know Khushi is Shashi's daughter.Khushi looks at him apologetically but he was hurt)

Arnav - So you are Khushi Gupta...no not again

Khushi - Arnavji...

Arnav - Shut up... Don't talk more... I tried forgetting you and here you come again to spoil my peaceful mind

Khushi - No its not like that...

Garima - You both know each other?

Arnav - Yes very well when we were kids...but I never wanted to meet her again...

Khushi - Please listen to me once...

Arnav - Why do you do this to me always? Atleast I got to know in 3 days this time...last time it took me 3 years

Shashi - What did she do?

Arnav - Ask her...she would love to tell her success story. (Arnav walks of from the ward)

Shashi - What was he talking Khushi? You know him? He is Mohan uncle's son...we were planning to get you married to him and here you both have some misunderstanding already (Khushi starts crying)

Garima - Khushi... tell us beta...whats the matter?

Khushi - (Sobbing) Ma... We were in same school

Garima - What?

Khushi - Yes ma, don't ask me anything about it...

Garima - Ok Ok ... Don't stress yourself

ARNAV'S HOUSE

Arnav goes back to his home with anger and frustration. While getting down the car he takes the envelope which his father gave. Gets in and spots his father in Living room

Arnav - Papa... I saw the photo... I dint like her much...

Mohan - Why Arnie...whats wrong?

Arnav - I just dint like papa... (not wanting to tell his childhood story and the reason for his hatred towards Khushi)

Mohan - ok fine... I will tell Shashi about it...(Arnav was about to keep the envelope and go but suddenly remembers to ask his father about his friendship with Shashi)

Arnav - Papa...from when are you friend with him?

Mohan - From 5 years... I met him in a senior citizens club. Why?

Arnav - Just like that...nothing specific... (he goes to his room...locks it and starts thinking about their childhood)

(Khushi is discharged now and is resting on her bed remembering past)

Khushi being a rich father's daughter was studying in the best school and was in 5th standard. It was her fist day of 5th standard. Arnav had got scholarship from his sports quota to study 8th, 9th and 10th in same school as Khushi. It was his first day of 8th std and school. It was post school hours. Khushi always used to practice tennis for 30 mins as she loved the game and especially Leander and winning Wimbledon was her dream. Since she was practicing after long time her shots were going bad making her upset. Arnav was going back from school but sees a small girl struggling in tennis court. He went there to see.

Arnav - Not like that...concentrate... (he comes and helps her with the shot by holding her hand. She is happy)

Khushi - Thanks... you just too good.

Arnav - Have to be... After all I will be participating in Wimbledon junior's tournament.

Khushi - What?? (She stopping hitting back the ball and the back came back and hit Khushi on her cheeks) Ouch...

Arnav - Shit... I am sorry (She rubs her cheek and try hiding her pain)

Khushi - . I am fine... Don't worry... (Driver comes and calls Khushi)

Driver - Baby... Shall we go?

Khushi - Yeah..uncle...(looks at Arnav).. bye...I have to go now.

Arnav - Bye

Khushi - will meet you tomorrow... Same time same place

Arnav - Sure (Smiles...Khushi goes with her driver)

Next day after school Arnav was waiting at the court for his little friend...she came with a hand covered on her cheek putting her face down...

Arnav - What happened? You don't want to play? And you are not in uniform???

Khushi - Wo... I have holiday...

Arnav - Holiday?

Khushi - ya Papa gave letter to teacher so I have holiday

Arnav - That's leave letter...

Khushi - Ya same.

Arnav - Why did you come here when you took leave?

Khushi - I had told you that I will meet you right? I never break my words (She is still not lifting her head)

Arnav - Ok...but why are you looking down? You lost anything?

Khushi - No... (She lifts and Arnav watches her cheek swollen like a tennis ball)

Arnav - Oh oh...you cheek is swollen...come here (He makes her sit next to him and takes his Napkin kept in lunch bag... Blows warm air on by keeping in mouth and keeps on her sweeling)

Khushi - Aaahhh

Arnav - Shhh...you will feel relaxed...I asked you whether you got hurt yesterday...but you lied...see now...if I would have done this yesterday only you wouldn't have got this bad swelling.

Khushi - Sorry...I just dint want you to worry because of me...from now on will never lie you...

Arnav - Good girl...

Khushi - Whats your name?

Arnav- Raizada...Singh Raizada...Arnav Singh Raizada

Khushi - Are you James bond?

Arnav - No...I like his style...(winks) What is your name

Khushi - Khushi Gupta (They both shake hands and talk for a while) Ok I have to go now I told papa that I will meet a friend and come back soon...

Arnav - Ok thanks for coming...I would have waited for long... (Khushi Smiles)

Khushi - I am in 5th A... Where is your house...come I will ask driver uncle to drop you...

Arnav - No its ok I will go by walking...

Khushi - Come...we are friends from today so you can come with me... I will come and pick you every day

Arnav - But

Khushi - Khushi Gupta never listens to anyone when she decides something come...(She pulls him and go towards car)

Like this their friendship started and got better day by day. Its 1 month passed and its time for Arnav to travel to London and Khushi was asking Shashi to get a costly gift for Arnav to wish him good Luck. But Shashi was wondering why his daughter suddenly having such a friend whom they don't know and she is now wanting to gift.

AT KHUSH'S HOME -DINING TABLE

Khushi is sitting and drinking milk. Suddenly remembers

Khushi - Papa did you get what I asked?

Shashi - No...not yet...

Khushi - Tomorrow Arnav will be flying papa...we will be busy...I wanted you to get it today

Shashi - Khushi you know how much it costs...and your friend will be very small he will lose it beta

Khushi - No papa...he is 8th std...he is big boy...he can lift me also when I am tired

Garima - What he lifts you? 8th std? How did he become your friend? Did he ask you for gift? Does he know you are Khushi Gupa...

Khushi - Maaa... ask one by one question...but I think I remember all your question ...he lifts me and get me to car when I am tierd after practice...you know he is teaching me tennis...he is so good...so he became my friend...he never asked gift...I saw ekalavya cartoon last week...Eklavya learn archery and later Drona asked his thumb as his fees so I am giving Arnav...gurudana...

Shashi - Guru Dakshina... (smiles at his cute innocent daughter)...

Garima - You keep quite Shashiji...she is getting too smart day by day...

Shashi - Garima its ok...she is asking something for first time and I am sure he must have thought her well I have seen her practice...

Garima - Do what ever you want

Khushi - Papa...you write leave letter ... we both will go and get gift...

Shashi - No need... I got your gift.,...take it...

Khushi - Thanks papa...its so nice na...

Shashi - ya...but... (takes back the box)... I will give this to driver uncle...it very precious and your favourite what if some one takes it from you...you are small girl right?

Khushi - Ya...(giggles)

Shashi - When you done with school...you can take it from and give to your friend... or give it to him mom or dad when you drop him or pick him.

Khushi - Ok Papa
