Ishan a lawyer?

So Ishan is a ever so called powerful lawyer, yet he seems so weak. He doesn't seem like the much sought after lawyer he's described as. He should have at least foreseen a circumstance where Samrat produces fake evidence as I'm sure happens in many complicated cases.

He shouldn't be making the same mistakes as the typical victims. He is supposed to be a powerful lawyer who knows all the tactics that can be used and stay 1 step ahead of Samrat. Both as his ex best friend and a top lawyer, his lack of proper decisions are disappointing. He looks fragile and not at all powerful.

He definitely does not act like a lawyer, let alone the most powerful one in New York. He isn't practical at all, along with Urmi make a pretty naive pair. With Urmi, it's sort of understandable that she doesn't have any practicality but Ishan? He has seen the world, the good and bad and should have been a lot more clever.

It has nothing to do with being ethical or not. When you are a top lawyer, you are exposed to all sorts of scum and know how to anticipate it. That is why a good lawyer prepares for the worst. When Ishaan was almost killed by goons, he should have straight-forwardly told Urmi it was Samrat instead of dancing around the subject like an emotional fool. Also, he should have warned Urmi sternly to be careful and contacted the police right away and informed them that Urmi's life might also be in danger. It doesn't take a genius to put 2 and 2 together and realize that if he was attacked, Urmi might be next. As the rational lawyer, he should have conveyed this. Ishaan was sitting there with Urmi in the police station, helpless while Samrat dances his way out of it. He will then go on to kill Urmi's unborn child. Ishaan could have thought about showing the call records of Samrat to Urmi, proving that he was in Jhansi, not Mumbai.
