When Veer married to Pakhi - he was still in love in Kirti.
Then where did the turning point come?
I think the turning point was when Rhea accepted him and called him 'papa'. It snapped him out of the vestiges of grief and propulsed him to move on. It was then that he started to give meaning to his relationship with Pakhi.
Would the same have happened had he not been married to Pakhi?
Your guess is as good as mine.
However, since he was able to distance and draw back when he realized that Pakhi could not reciprocate his feelings - suggests that he may be open now to allow another person enter his life.
