Episode 9: Revenge
At Bandra Central Hospital, Inspector Raina was just being discharged by the doctors. The bullet wound had healed enough for her to go back to work. And that's where she was off to...Bandra Police Department. Once she reached her office, she sat down at her desk, going through several files while Officer Aayat entered the room.
"Raina, you were just discharged. Is it necessary to get back to work now?" Officer Aayat asked.
"Just because I only came out of the hospital now does not mean I don't have duties to go back on," Inspector Raina replied. "That boy almost killed me! I won't easily spare him!"
Suddenly, Inspector Raina's office phone rang. She immediately answered the call and said, "Hello?" As she listened to the person speaking on the phone, her eyes beamed.
In the den of the Killers Society, Raja had called Kabir, Damini, and Aryan to the main room. "Where is Sahir?" Kabir asked Raja.
"Sahir is taking a stroll with our guards," Raja said. "Someone has to keep that boy out for a while."
"You won't hurt him,right Raja bhai?" Kabir asked.
"Only if I have to." Raja cackled.
"Then why bring us here?" Damini asked.
"Your next target. Well...they are actually two targets...both are brothers, Suri Tata and Shyam Tata. Shyam is in Pune, while Suri is in Mumbai," Raja explained. "Two of you will go to Pune as its a longer distance. And one of you will go to Mumbai. Each of you will get a map where I have marked the locations of your targets."
"Who's going where?" Kabir asked.
"I'll leave that to you." Raja said.
"Then I'll go with Kabir to Pune. Aryan can go to Mumbai." Damini volunteered.
"Very good. Take a map from me and leave." Raja ordered.
Aryan went with a glum face and took a map from Raja, heading out. Kabir went up to get the map from Raja and whispered, "Raja bhai, why should I go with Damini? She always comes with me."
"You know very well, Kabir. That boy has made a mistake once. With her deadly looks, he won't be able to manage," Raja bhai said quietly. "You are my most trustworthy comrade. Don't let me down."
"Of course." Kabir replied.
Raja patted Kabir on his shoulder as he handed him a map. Kabir turned around and walked with Damini out of the den. As they left, Raja stood with a wide grin on his face.
Outside of the den, Kabir and Damini had already taken off on Kabir's bike. As Aryan was mounting on his bike, someone grabbed him from behind, placing a white cloth over his mouth. He tried to break free from the man's grasp, but he couldn't. What he didn't know was that the cloth was soaked in ether. As it was held longer on his face, Aryan eventually passed out. The man who held Aryan, removed the cloth from his face.
At the Bandra Police Department, Inspector Raina was rallying up a few officers into jeeps. "Are you sure about this, Raina?" Officer Aayat asked.
"I know what I'm doing. I've gotten my sources. We now have a better idea of where that boy is heading now." Inspector Raina replied.
"All this for one boy?" Officer Aayat asked. "We should be worrying more about the Killer's Society as a whole."
"That's exactly what I'm doing!" Inspector Raina shouted. "The Killer's Society's strong point is in that boy! If we take him down, they will get weak enough for us to destroy them. Besides, he dared to take me down. Well...let's see how karma works in his favor."
On the other hand, Aryan had awaken from his unconsciousness to find himself in a small hut. He turned around to see a young man, with his back turned away from him. Once the man turned to Aryan, Aryan was shocked and said, "Sahir?!"
Yes, it was Sahir. Sahir came up to Aryan, holding a beer bottle in his hand. "Drink?" Sahir asked Aryan, handing him the bottle.
"You're the one who made me go unconscious?!" Aryan asked Sahir. "What is the meaning of this?!"
"Revenge, Aryan. That's what this is all about." Sahir replied with an evil grin.
"But Raja bhai sent you out with the guards!" Aryan stated.
"Those same guards are now lying buried in the banks of the rivers with bullets engraved in their bodies." Sahir retorted.
"Have you gone mad?!" Aryan asked.
"You could say that. But whatever you call it...I call it revenge," Sahir said. "And now, I'm taking you under my wing."
"For what?" Aryan asked.
"How much longer will we tolerate the low treatment we get from Raja?! Or how much we are told to be like Kabir?! I won't tolerate it any longer!" Sahir shouted. "Which is why the servants of the Killer's Society will take on its number one killer!"
"Meaning?" Aryan asked.
"Meaning...we will kill Kabir." Sahir elaborated.
'What?! We can't!" Aryan protested. "Why would we do that?! Kabir has always treated us like brothers!"
"Brothers, my foot! Why should I care for a boy who lives in the lap of luxury under a notorious man?! And as for you...how much longer will you endure the ridicule of being a mere weakling in the name of emotions?!" Sahir asked Aryan.
Aryan turned his face away at the sound of Sahir's question. He felt a swarm of tears rush down the cheeks of his face. He put his hands to his head, frustrated and angry. "Now...do you accept this alliance?" Sahir asked Aryan.
Aryan put his hands away and looked up at Sahir with tears in his eyes. He nodded. Sahir laughed evilly as he took a sip out of his beer bottle. "Then its settled!" Sahir exclaimed. "Soon...Kabir will be a dead man!"
