Broken... He was breathing heavily, his palms are covering his face and he was on his knees. He wiped the wetness of his face and gathered some strength and got up.
Though both were forced in the marriage, she tried her level best to be patient and tolerate everything. With the only hope that he would change.
Last night was so painful for both of them. He was in the pain remembering his mom on her death anniversary. And she as usual came to him to call for dinner. He denied but she started to force him because she made the dinner and all his favourite dishes, she was not aware of the fact that its his mothers death anniversary. On forcing him so much, a sharp crisp slap went across her face and she collapsed on the floor holding her cheek trying her best not to cry. She was trembling with fear and slipped off into deep slumber in same position taking the support of the wall beside her.
After crying for a while he reached her who was still in the same position. His felt his heart was bleeding inside, hot tears scorched in his eyes and he was not having enough courage to even touch her. Though he hated her so much and taunted her with his venomicious language, he is not able to digest what he did last night.
She tolerated his disrespect with lot of patience. But he can't! He just can't!
She opened her eyes and saw him infront of her with blood shot eyes and broken.
She opened her eyes wide "Reyaansh! Whats wrong? Are you ok?"
He simply nodded in a no and took her both palms in his and brought them to his lips. He pressed his lips on her knuckles and another trickle of tears followed his eyes falling on her knuckles.
He is not able to speak anything. He is feeling ashamed to even apologize her. He bent on to her lap and pressed his face feeling solace with her. She caressed his hair and he hugged her around her. He was also literally trembling as he started to sob loud. After sometime they both got up and he cupped her face and kissed her forehead. "Please... you also dont leave... please..." he whispered. He cant live without her.
Soon they both were sharing a hug, all the guilt flew away between them and they found peace in each other, Accepting each other forever.
