Of course I don't want to kill you! I love reading your comments and views too much to do that. LolGlad you liked the beginning...I thought we needed a sweet, memorable scene like that between husband and wife.Gunjan is certainly a strong character...I couldn't change that from the show. And Gayatri will always add some necessary drama to the story. 😛Is there really such a man? That is indeed the golden question. As of now I can only wish, but if I ever find such a man I'll let you know 😉Pihu and Sneha becoming kabab mein haddi 😆And I know you request Rabir romance every time, but I always disappoint you. Sorry! I try to give some cute romantic scenes because I feel like full on passionate romance just doesn't fit into the story right now unless it's a dream sequence. But how many dreams can our poor Kabir keep having? 😆😳

Thanks so much! Right now I'm just busy with all my studying and writing essays so I have unfortunately been spending a few sleepless nights here and there, but overall I'm doing well. How are you doing?
A really happy chapter after a long time since I'm in such a good mood today (I got my paper back, which I had no expectation of doing well on, with a big fat A on top!😃).

Chapter 30:
Pihu pressed the play button on the remote as she settled comfortably onto the bed next to her two sisters and Sneha mausi. Soon the images of three little girls running behind each other filled the TV screen. They chased each other around the entire length of the large soccer field before they fell on the soft green grass and lay on their backs, panting to regain their breath. The scene then shifted to a Diwali party where the same three girls were dancing together on stage, smiling and laughing, fully enjoying their 15 minutes of fame in the spotlight. The TV screen then changed to show the three girls standing in line in front of a yellow school bus, dressed in their plaid school uniforms with their hair plaited into two side braids. The littlest of the girls had tears in her eyes and appeared to be quite upset at the prospect of having to go to school, while the two older girls were both smiling at the camera and trying to reassure their littlest sister that kindergarten would be fun. The next scene showed the three girls later on that same day, getting off the school bus. The littlest girl appeared to be the happiest, as she jumped of the last step of the bus and ran into her Shail mausi's arms, cheerfully chattering about all the new things she had seen in school that day, how her teacher Mrs. Kelly was super nice because she had given out candy to the entire class, and how many new friends she had already made. Meanwhile, the oldest girl walked off the school bus with a frown, complaining about all the work that she had received on her first day of ninth grade; she immediately ran inside the house, ignoring both her mom and mausi. The middle girl carefully made her way down the steps of the school bus and walked straight into the arms of her favorite person in the whole world, her Sneha mausi. She smiled as soon as Sneha mausi enveloped her into a hug and planted a sweet kiss on both of her cheeks.
"And how is my little Rachu? How was school? Is your teacher good?"
"I'm fine Sneha mausi and school was okay. My teacher is nice too, but she seems strict. She already gave us homework on our first day even though none of the other 6th grade classes have any work today, that too science and math problems which are my least favorite. But you know what, I also had art class today and I made a really pretty painting of a flower!"
The video then changed to show a birthday party, with the middle girl dressed in a beautiful, pink princess gown and a silver tiara on her head. She stood smiling in the center of the circle in front of her cake, as her family and friends stood around singing happy birthday to her. As soon as she blew out the candle, someone popped a confetti-filled balloon over her head causing a shower of colorful paper. The girl then cut the first piece of her cake and fed it to her mother, then her father, and then the biggest piece to her Sneha mausi. When it came time to feed her two sisters, she took a piece in either hand and fed them both together. They smiled mischievously as they proceeded to give the birthday girl a cake facial and plastered the chocolate frosting all over her face. The entire family's smiles and laughter filled the TV screen. The screen then went blank as the video ended, leaving four pairs of wet eyes in the room.
"I just love watching our childhood videos. Everything was so much less complicated back then, right Pihu di, Rachna di?"
Both Pihu and Rachna nodded in agreement with Gunjan's words. Sneha quickly wiped her eyes and placed a sweet kiss on each of her daughters' foreheads.
"Each of you means the world to me. Those who have a daughter are very lucky, but I'm the luckiest person in the world because I have three of them in my life. I love you my little angels!"
The four of them shared a group hug. The rest of this girls' night was spent lounging around on the bed, drinking steaming cups of hot chocolate, and reminiscing about childhood memories. Both Gunjan and Pihu fell asleep at around 11, while Sneha retired herself to her own bedroom a short white later, leaving Rachna alone and awake in the girls' room. She stood in front of the window, glancing out at the dark night, noting that there was no moon; there were just thousands of little stars twinkling in the night sky.
Moving away from the window, Rachna looked for a glass of water in the room. Finding the water jug empty, she decided to go downstairs to fill it up. Seeing that the lights were off downstairs, Rachna assumed that the boys must have also fallen asleep by now. Taking care to avoid making any noise so she didn't disturb anyone, Rachna tiptoed into the kitchen, filled up the jug of water, and began walking back upstairs towards the bedroom, when she noticed the light on in the patio outside the house. Carefully placing the jug of water on the kitchen counter, Rachna peered outside to see who was there. Finding no one, Rachna stepped outside and placed her hand on the light switch to turn it off. Just as she flicked off the light, Rachna felt a pair of hands cover her eyes. Before she could respond, Rachna felt herself being led forward. Soon Rachna felt the squishiness of the wet grass underneath her bare feet, but she still had no idea what was going on, though she certainly felt at ease and not in any danger, as the pair of hands over her eyes felt vaguely familiar and comforting.
The person who had covered her face eventually steadied her to a stop and uncovered her eyes. As soon as she opened her eyes, Rachna's vision was filled with a soft glow from a cluster of candles, 25 of them to be exact, that stood on the table in front of her, wedged into a chocolate frosted, heart-shaped cake. Before she could say or do anything, a soft husky voice filled her ears.
"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to my love Rachna. Happy birthday to you."
As the song finished, the familiar hands that had covered her eyes just moments before, placed a small knife in her hands and led her towards to cake. "Make a wish and blow out your candles birthday girl."
Tears of surprise and happiness filled her eyes, as she bit her lower lip, contemplating what to wish for. She turned around to face him and looked straight into his eyes, as she circled her arms around his body.
"What more could I possibly wish for when I have the universe in my arms already?"
He smiled at her words before he pushed her to turn around and face the cake.
"Come on sweetheart. Blow out the candles and wish for anything your heart desires."
"I'm serious Kabir. I already have everything that I could possibly need. Why don't we blow out the candles together and you can use my wish instead?"
Kabir chuckled before he placed his arms around Rachna's waist and looked at the cake from over her shoulder. They blew out the candles together, as he wished for Rachna's health, happiness, and prosperity and she merely thanked God for giving her Kabir. She cut the cake and he fed her the first bite. Knowing very well that it was not a piece of cake that he wanted from her, Rachna fulfilled his desire by placing her chocolate covered lips on his, completely catching him off-guard. He was surprised at first, but soon let his emotions take over, as he slowly sucked the chocolate frosting off of her lips. She let a soft moan escape from her lips, as his hands found their way around her waist and pulled her body close to his. She parted her lips away from his, as she struggled to catch her breath after the intensity of the kiss that they had just shared.
Resting her head on his chest as she breathed deeply, Rachna squeezed her arms around his chiseled body. "Thank you for the best surprise ever. You know it's so ironic that we just watched an old video of my 16th birthday party right before this and nobody, not even me, remembered that it is my birthday tomorrow."
A small chuckle from Kabir caught her attention. "It's past 12 my love; your birthday has already begun. And do you really think that all this just happened by chance? You still haven't caught on yet hunh?"
Now she was really confused. Lifting her head off from his chest, she looked at him with a puzzled expression. "What do you mean? What haven't I caught on to?"
Kabir laughed a little louder this time. "It was all a plan Rachna. I suggested this girls' night idea to Sneha mausi, I pretended to be disappointed when she brought up the idea earlier this evening, and then I asked her to show you that video of your birthday party. Sneha mausi was totally in on this plan and I must say that she did a great job keeping it a secret from you. In fact, I'm sure that she is watching us right now from her bedroom window."
Rachna glanced up towards the window of what should have been Sneha's bedroom and sure enough she saw a dim light emanating from that room. Even in the dark, Kabir could sense Rachna's cheeks flaming up into a deep red blush, as she hid her face into his chest after realizing that her mausi had probably just witnessed the passionate kiss that they had just shared.
"Come on Rachna, let's head on inside. You've got a few more surprises waiting for you."
Kabir allowed Rachna to walk into the house first, where she was completely taken aback by the sudden explosion of confetti around her. As she looked around the room, Rachna saw the smiling faces of her family. In fact, she noted that Rhea, Chaya, and Chirag had also graced the occasion with their presence. Everyone hugged Rachna and wished her a happy birthday in turn, after which Sneha mausi walked in with yet another cake, a large rectangular one this time which had a collage of her childhood pictures printed on it.
Setting down the cake in front of Rachna, Sneha embraced her niece into a warm, motherly hug, after which she told Rachna to blow out the candles. Rachna looked around the room once again, feeling herself to be the luckiest girl in the world for being surrounded by such loving family and friends. She admired the pictures on the cake and closed her eyes, and wished as she blew out her birthday candles.
Thank you God for everything that you've given me. I truly just wish to be constantly surrounded by happiness and by the people that love me.
Once the candles had been blown out, the cake had been cut and smeared all across Rachna's face, and the appropriate number of birthday punches given to the birthday girl by her mischievous friends, everyone retired into the living room to give their gifts to Rachna. Turn by turn, she was overwhelmed by the thoughtful gifts she received: a soft teddy bear that said "You're beary sweet!" and a beautiful bouquet of her favorite white roses from Karan and Rhea, a handmade scrapbook of their wonderful school memories from Chaya, a charm bracelet filled with hearts that said "faith, hope, and love" from Pihu didi and Murli jiju, a gorgeous royal blue chiffon gown from Gunjan, and an extravagant diamond necklace and earring set from Sneha mausi and Akash mausa ji.
"Thank you so much everyone! I'm truly blessed to have such amazing people in my life who love me so much. I can't believe that you planned this entire surprise behind my back! I had completely forgotten that my birthday was even coming up. Thank you everyone, really I truly mean it from the bottom of my heart."
Rachna had finished opening all her gifts and promised to read the cards later, for she knew she would be too overwhelmed by her emotions if she read her birthday messages in front of everyone. By the time the surprise birthday celebrations were over, the clock showed that it was 3 in the morning, so everyone went off to their respective bedrooms and guest rooms, while Rhea, Chaya, and Chirag back to their house. This left Rachna in the living room, surrounded by a mess of colorful confetti, a pile of unwrapped gifts, a mountain of ripped wrapping paper, a stack of birthday cards, and a playful, naughty husband, who was in no mood to allow his wife's quarter-century birthday celebrations to be stopped short before he presented her with his own special gifts.
