Talented actor Himmanshoo Ashok Malhotra who gained popularity for essaying the character of Anup in Sony TV's Love Marriage ya Arranged Marriage, is seen playing the role of a pilot in Star Plus' Airlines as Rohit Mafatlal.
Well as Airlines is a finite show and has an appealing concept, we have Himanshoo speaking with us about the trend of finite shows, about Airlines and much more with us...
Talking about his new project Airlines he excitedly avers "It's a different experience to shoot for Airlines as it's a finite series and I am totally enjoying my time here in Delhi."
What was the reason behind doing this show? "After my previous show ended I took a gap for a few months and was in search for a project which could give me a creative satisfaction and yes the character and the show Airlines had that essence in it."
Telling us about his character he says, "I really like my character in the show which is of a flamboyant and modern guy. This is something which I have never tried and I am always excited to don the costume of a pilot in the show."
Indian television is welcoming finite shows like Pukaar - Call For The Hero, Airlines - Har Udaan Ek Toofan, Laut Aao Trisha and a few more. So what does Himanshoo has to say about this trend? "Its excellent that we are welcoming such kind of a trend in India. I feel finite series is always a good option for producers, actors and audience. It always gives a creative satisfaction as its not time bound whereas daily soaps have time constraint so we as actors also don't get much time in improvising our characters."
We wish Himanshoo all the very best!
