With the end near and the BI journey coming to an end tonight, I just had to make post penning my thoughts about this show. Last year when promos first started airing for Beintehaa, I will admit my interest was peaked but it wasn't really a show I was anxious to see. Fast forward a couple months later and seeing my FB newsfeed filled with posts praising this show, I decided to give it a watch and in an instant I was hooked! A show which started off as your typical run of the mill hate love story turned into so much more than that with Aaliya and Zain proving they are far from being your typical main leads.

Zain was not your typical male lead who had a dark past, it was just the opposite with him being carefree, spoiled, mischeievious. Then you had Aaliya who from the start was traditional yet modern and daring. Zain and Aaliya were never perfect, both were flawed but together they were perfection!!

There are so many things that stand out about this pairing from their smoking hot chemistry to their realistic portrayals of their characters. Its difficult to pinpoint what I will miss most but one thing is for sure Zain and Aaliya will not be forgotten anytime soon.

BI was not perfect by any means, it had its flaws but for a new PH and with newcomers as its leads I would say they managed to leave an impression that even veteran PH failed to do. When I look back at these 11 months and look at what BI has given me as a viewer, I am left amazed. This PH managed to do the impossible by getting me to love a divorce and redemption track. It was refreshing to see a show which did not make a mockery of the love the main leads share, instead I saw a love that grew stronger with time and while the HN was hated by all of us, it did make ZaYa stronger in the end and gave us some of the most powerful performances by Harshad and Preetika.

Another thing I would like to add is the writing for the supporting cast, who can forget our beloved Usman? A character who was so loved that fans did not want him to be killed off. Who can forget Suraiya? A character who was negative but later turned positive and became the best MIL one could have, I am so glad we got to see her and Aaliya bond before the show came to an end. Bilal and Zaro, two characters who were negative yet had moments where they brought smiles to the faces of viewers with their epic comic timing. Fahad, Shazia and Nafeesa, this trio were different but at times intriguing to watch. Basically what I am trying to say is every character on this show was well layered, none were really one dimensional which made the show all the more appealing to me as a viewer.

Its been an amazing journey and while it did come to an end a month earlier than I expected there is much left to be cherished and I have no regrets about watching this show. I can truly say BI was different, unique and will be missed. Hats off to this PH for proving their show was more than a filler for the channel, no one could have ever predicted the waves BI would have created or the fact Harshad and Preetika would take the TV world by storm. They've managed to prove me wrong and made me one of their biggest fans with their talent and down to earth personalities. I wish this cast and crew nothing but the best and want to say thank you for one of the best shows I've ever watched

Great post Mandy. Gosh can't believe its the last Bi epi.I am gonna miss the show and zaya like anything but im glad even for a little time I got to enjoy a great show. When the shows promos aired I was like great another marriage show and why are the leads refusing, I was intrigued but not ready to watch it. I was actually gone to a wedding when BI started airing so i missed out initial epis but later as i saw the promos and how the story was progressing i got interested and started watching regularly once aliyas marriage started. I got hooked at the scene when zain tries to comfort aliya in her room after her nikkah was called off. After that i never missed an epi, once the show shifted to Mumbai and zayas hate, kitkit, unintentional care, growing attraction and love, Usmans wise words, suri schemes, shafeesas rivalry, fahads confusion and everything in between made me love this show. Zayas hate to love journey and all their struggles, pain, heart break and finally the triumph of their beyond reason love has made BI a great show. The supporting cast has been wonderful and so have the villains even though at times we wanted them to go to the bawdi lol Yeah there were flaws but one thing that never wavered was zayas love and purity, u see these days in other shows leads being butchered for storylines that make no sense but never with zaya. Zain and Aliya weren't the typical opposites attract, they were the same in the most basic ways , two young people starting out a new adult phase in their lives with loving families that supported them. There were no anger issues or dark pasts just two ppl who loved their families and were joined unwillingly in a union that they were against but destiny had other plans. They fought against it and each other but as time went on they fought the whole world for each other and their love. As the show ends tonight I am glad to have enjoyed such a great show, zaya, the supporting characters and with that my beintehaa love to the show and the forum 😃.

Yes same here! I was not ready to watch but started tuning in the same time you did, it did not take long for me to get hooked and later I watched back the epis I missed. What a show! Never did I think I would end up so hooked to another show after IPK ended but I did and I am glad. While its hard to see BI come to an end at the same time it was great to finally have a show that did not follow the cliched route so many shows end up following instead of deteriorating with time, I saw a show which managed to keep my interest going. BI proved that you do not need to drag a storyline to keep viewers hooked, you can have much of a story to tell with a decent pace.

LOL yes! There were many times I wanted the villains to go jump in the bawdi but when all is said and done even they had their moments where they shined and we did feel for them or loved them. Much of this had to do with the realistic portrayal, no one was perfect and their flaws were not hidden from anyone basically what you see is what you get which I loved!

Tell me about it, there are so many shows I watch where characters are butchered beyond repair in the name of storylines and TRPs but BI did not do that at least not when it came to their leads. I will admit there were times Zain and Aaliya did things that irritated me but nothing that could not be repaired.

Well said about ZaYa, they were alike and I love how the same relationship they were fighting to end became the one they fought the world for!

Well said, Mandy! Not once did I ever expect this show to be such a big part of my life. I have gone to the extent to be a part of a forum, twitter and all that just for the sake of a show but BI made me do that.
The journey has been tremendous and an extremely memorable one. Its super hard to let go, spscially of Harshika. There are so many memeories attached to the show that its going to be hard to accept that its just a memory now...for a while. I am used to always have atleast one indian show that i am following but BI raised my standards so high that its going to be a while before i find something as good..if at all.
What Harshika and this PH have achieved in these 11 months is IMMENSE. Sure Farhan had some flaws in his writing but he gave us ZaYa, he wrote up the beautiful and realistic love story as well as the characters of Zain and Aliya, and frankly no one could have done it better. And Harshika brought ZaYa to life, making us fall in love with them and going through their journey alongside with them. This whole thing is so overwhelming, i have lots more to write , which i will probably continue on Z's thread.
and MAndy, thanks for always posting a review no matter what! You have been one of those positive members and in our group discussions on Z's threads it was always nice to read what you have to say, because it was alway optimistic even in the darkest phase of the show!

Amazing superb post Mandy :))
I remember watching the 20th january 2014 episode and I had no clue which show it was nothing but it hooked me because I wanted to know whether the girl was really cheating she was going to marry...I managed to find out what show it was and watched it and no doubts it glued me on like nothing would matter. Yes it's true no other show will or has been so realistic like you said Mandy it wasn't like any original love & hate love story which made it really unique.

Mandy-ve - Typed a big post but my internet played hooky and the post was lost. Urgh so angry.
So trying to recollect what all I typed. Beintehaan - I have to honestly admit I never thought this show would be so good that it would hook me up with the storyline especially after I saw the first promos where the marriage is done without the yes from the groom and the girl. I thought Yeh lo this is another show where the female lead will sudharo the male lead after marriage. And honestly BI was lost during the launch of the show - All the newspapers articles covered only RR and how big RR was going to be. There was hardly any article on BI.

Here I am 11 months after, truly satisfied as a viewer and having memorable memories of the show. True the show did have its lows with Bawadi track and Halala Nikaah but by far it was really entertaining. I loved all the actors and characters in the show be it Usmaan saab, Ghulam and Shabana, Rizwaan as the perfect bro to Zain - Everyone was spot on in their roles. The only wrongs that the PH did was to be adamant on introducing the Halala track - something which killed the show. Indian audience doesn't like their leads split up - Period. When I read Farhan's IV on IF that Halala was always the intended story, all I could feel was wish Farhan knew that this wouldn't have worked out but hey you make mistakes and you learn from them.

And coming to the leads - Harshad and Pree were clearly under-promoted compared to SI and Ashish and that was clearly visible but for newbies they really blew everyone away by their acting and chemistry. It was real heartening to see them win awards for their Jodi be it at Zee Gold awards or at ITA. They really brought Zain and Aliyah to life and I am so happy they are going out on a bang.

I wish both Harshad and Preetika all the best and hope they land up new projects soon. Harshad already is roped by the Colors for its reality show and hopefully Pree will land a new role soon. They really worked hard on this show and you can really see the way they grew as actors over the span of 11 months. Looks like Fortune is also busy producing new shows - All I wish is for Farhan to do better projects. The PH sure didn't cut corners in anything - be it costumes or be it on the sets unlike the other PH which really had the quality go bad so much that sometimes I was wondering why was I even watching IPK? The costumes were always great, the screen space and the cast beautifully used so that the onus didn't fall only on the leads.

Sure there are some things that would have been good if they gave a closure to them like Gauhar-Rizwan track or getting Shabana-Ghulam for the last few episodes but overall the show was closed decently enough. The playing of the original BI tune - Truly beautiful. The PH did an awesome job of selecting the BG tunes for every situation so much that whenever I hear 'Jo bheji thi dua' or "Muskuraane ki wajah tum ho' I am reminded of BI and ZaYa. Kudos to the PH for this.

Lastly I really loved the way I could write my thoughts on your thread Mandy. It was real pleasure interacting with you and hopefully we will all come together in a new show forum. I would always cherish these posts and discussions that I had here.

Till we meet again Mandy-ve - Hugs and Rabbave.

Finally it all came to an end today... still cant believe that BI is actually over I know that all good things always come to an end... that I should be happy that BI happened instead of feeling miserable over it ending... But even after knowing all this my heart still craves for more and more of BI... wishes it never ended wants more of ZaYa... It's so painful than I thought it would be 😒

What a beautiful journey it has been. It has been a lovely 11 months for all of us, we would cherish every single minute spent over here.
A big thanks to Harshad and Preetika for giving me Zain and Aaliya. I will miss them terribly The thought of not seeing them together again is making me miserable. I will miss everything related to this show! Thanks to each and every actor of BI who played their characters to perfection 👏 Thanks CVs.. Farhaan Sir for giving us Beintehaa. Will miss Beintehaa so much!

Mandy, Love your posts... they are always to the point and well balanced. 🤗 Hopefully we will soon meet in another thread for another show... hopefully 😳

Same feels Ankeeta! Normally when one show ends I have another to fall back on but not anymore, the shows have either ended or have been butchered beyond repair its what made me love and appreciate BI even more and I can honestly say I've been spoiled. I cannot watch any other show without comparing it to BI because its given me so much as a viewer.

Exactly he had his flaws, he was stubborn and was stuck in that dark tunnel in what seemed like forever but when you look back and see what he gave fans you can't help but be grateful to him for giving us such a show and most importantly ZaYa.

Aww no problem! Honestly it was easy to have an optimistic view of BI when you watch the destruction of other shows. It was easy to take the bad with the good.

It seems many of us are in the same boat, we all tuned in late but no regrets. Honestly as depressing as it is to see BI end, I do find comfort in knowing the show ended on a high note instead of going on to be dragged endlessly with illogical tracks where things were stretched beyond imagination and the leads were butchered. I would have just hated to see that happen to BI so I'm glad the show had such a fitting end, it came sooner than expected but I love BI nonetheless.

Harshad and Preetika have set the bar high, 11 months and 10 awards for their debut show. Talk about making your mark in the industry! So proud of them!
