The Promise begins

This show promises to be a wholesome family entertainer. It has shown in six episodes the characters involved in it and their nature pretty well for the audiences to understand them --- may not agree to them --- but to know how they will behave in different situations.

What I find really promising are these points -

There is a story with two families with two backgrounds --- business class/ and service class. But here both the families are well to do though not at par. So we will see more of a living style difference that may bring about misunderstanding or adjustment problems rather than the economic issues...if I got it right.

It will continuously have lots of lighter moments provided by some characters, like the neighbour, dadisa, flower girl, devar - bhabhi nok jhonk and at the moment the to be girl and saali too are adding in that.

There is going to be a huge undercurrent of emotional outbursts and rethinking is expected in relationships when the new bahu starts as a career girl when the elder one has this feeling that she had sacrificed her dreams for the family.

How detached Ria's parents will be to the repercussions she faces as the bahu of a rich family is also to be seen, though I think she(Riya) will continue with her career as Abhi won't let her leave it as we got to know in the promotions.

While Rukmini I agree is strict, I think she won't be so stifling trying to smother the relationship between Abhi and Ria, she may get more demanding on Sheetal and this may lead to her finally voicing out her dissent on being the lone one being targeted as she is conforming.

Abhimanyu is the character I am in love with at the moment, because this character is having a lot to deliver as in ---

he has a strong value to trust and commitment which we saw in the episodes till now.

Secondly, he also knows how to please everyone, without being hasty in getting what he wants. He is willing to wait and work through the options best suited to the persons concerned instead of just announcing his wish and decision.

He holds his family in high regard and yet is aware of their inflexible views on many matters as his expressions were I agree (without an option to disagree). Simply superb!

What stands out also is the transparency with the girl's parents and comfort level of taking them into confidence stating clearly that they are more open to talking and his family isn't that way. Hence he was unable to tell them till now about himself and Ria.

Lastly, it will certainly have lots of moments between the leads - romance, fights, making up, roothna ----- manana -----and emotional upheavals which they will face as a couple in trying to please the mother/mother in law!

I see a lot happening in the coming weeks as the pace of the show is very good!

Absolutely beautiul Post Shanti Di . I fully agree with u . The show have lotzz more thing to show & it is going to be a roller coaster ride with Abhi , Ria & all the characters of this show . The show will have love , Romance , Action , Drama and the most imp thing ENTERTAINMENT which we all gonna love it like Kinshuk , Shefali said in their interviews . So I am all ready with it to enjoy an entertaining ride

Awesome post shanti. You covered all the points concerning show very nicely. I like the fact how good abhi ria might be that they will compromise on many thing but will not be ultimately sacrificing. They will standup for what they want.
