I read a lot of topics about how Gautam was unfair in not saving Dimpy and I just wanted to give my 2 cents on it.

So Dimpy and some people here seem to feel that Gautam did the same thing that Upen did by nominating P2.

PRAY tell me HOW is this the same??

Upen nominated P2 BECAUSE they supported him for captaincy. THAT was actually his reason for nominating them. So basically he punished them for supporting him and that's why he got bashed for it. Coz it was clear that he wanted to nominate ppl from the opposite gang and just gave a stupid reason for doing that.

Gautam DID NOT nominate Dimpy for supporting him. He did not blame/punish her for supporting him ala Upen. So then how are both these situations the same????

Yes, saving Dimpy would have been the logical thing for him to do to keep her on his side but I think what made him choose Ali is to prove to everyone that he IS a good captain and is being fair.

Gautam has been the victim of the captain's unfair decisions till now. Both Diandra and Upen chose him as the worst performer in spite of him doing his work well and there being worst people than him. Both of them gave advantages/best performer tag to their friends instaed of to those who deserved it. Gautam has always commented that they were wrong is punishing him and that he would not do that if he was the captain.Even Salman has called them out for taking out their personal vendetta against Gautam and not actually punishing the weak performer.

IF Gautam does the same thing and rewards someone who is his friend over someone who actually deserves it (assuming Ali worked more than Dimpy) wont he been seen as
a hyprocrite by Salman and the audience?? won't he be questioned on why he chose Dimpy just becoz she supported him over Ali who worked more?? If the next captain again calls him a weak performer for personal reasons he won't have any right to then say they are being unfair if he also does the same thing.

Maybe Dimpy also worked, and she might have been his 3rd choice if he had one. Who is to say he would not have selected her then??

So while I think his decision was justified I do think this will cost him Dimpy's loyalty. But then I don't think he cares anymore about any support inside the house. He is confident enough with the public support.

Gautam wants to prove the HMs WRONG in judging him incapable of being a captain and I can see that in the way he is going about his captaincy. I hope he proves to be a good and calm captain just as a slap on the HMs faces who were not ready to give him a chance.

LOLLL!! at the red part.

Yeah I know people love to discuss Gulati and its amusing to read at times.

I am a silent reader but sometimes when I see really stupid logic and people discussing that, I just can't stop myself from commenting...😳😛😉

100% true. his decision was clear and unbiased and fair, i hope dimpy understands the difference in gautams choices and that of upen and diandra. both the later made choices based on personel interest and revenge on gautam.
while gautams choices was not personal preference, but an attempt to give a person who performed well his due

I think Dimpy is justified in being pissed off too. she obviously expected to be saved for supporting him and is bound to be hurt that she was not. So I dont balme her for being angry. But her comparing that to Upen is wrong because of the reasons I mentioned above.

Gautam like I said was taking an extra effort to be "Fair" to prove a point. Had diandra/upen not punished him as a weak performer and had the "biased" captain discussion not happened in WKW maybe even Gautam might have chosen Dimpy over Ali. Its just that NOW he has to go out of his way to prove that people are wrong about him.

Because Punz did work a lot during his captaincy and without any complaints. When all of them were protesting against him Punz said he was ready to do multiple duties. Also we saw him cleaning the garden along with Gautam when P2 refused to do it.

So even though Punz is Gautam's friend in this case he DID work a lot so we can't call it bias here. If Punz had not worked much or worked less than Dimpy then we can def say Gautam was biased and should have saved Dimpy.

Since that is not the case here for now I would say Gautam was not biased. Though in a lot of instances he does follow Punz blindly (that is one thing i don't like abt Gautam) but here I think he was justified.
