When a pair of eyes closed, another pair of eyes opened. She sat up with a jerk. As her eyes fell on the sleeping form of her husband, she calmed down. He was facing her and she knew he had been looking at her all the time. She could not help but smile at his concern.

Indeed she had gone through hell but at the end of the day she found her heaven in his arms. She was amazed at how her life had taken a U-turn.

She recalled the occurence of similar events in her life. She remembered how he made her apologise to Adi for no fault of hers, he had blurted out the truth of their marriage in front of everyone when Param accused her but now things were different. He stood by her when Adi sent her to jail. This time when Param and his cheapster friends tried to harass her he became her comfort.

She sat on the floor near the couch, lovingly gazing at his face and recalling how he became the reason of her happiness.

A cold breeze hit her. She folded her arms and enjoyed the beautiful weather. She looked up at the dark sky decorated with shining stars just like her dark life was now adorned with happiness everywhere. She could not help admiring the beautiful moon that now resembled her bright and beautiful life.

She closed the door to the balcony, admired her sleeping husband yet again and walked to her bed.

With a smile of satisfaction, on her realization, unaware of her husband's decision, she made plans for confession.

She had never felt so much at peace. Was her peace short-lived?
