Humdard
He was standing looking up to the stars in the sky standing on a hilltop in the NIM campus. The day he had feared the most had finally come, the day both of them will part their ways has come, after 4 weeks of their training. In all these days he had learnt and seen so much... his mind drifted back to the day he got rid of his only problem, his acrophobia.
Two weeks ago:-
Trainer: students today you all will practice climbing the tallest hill here. Take this to be a real mountain, once you slip your chance is gone.
Anjali: (in low voice) let's do it guys. We need to make those black horses lose this time too.
(She notices aakash's pale face)
Anjali: are u fine aakash?? You seem to be unwell...
Aakash: no I m fine,don't worry.
(He gave her a weak smile)
(anjali noticed that he wanted to hide something, but in her mind she just could not figure out what)
Trainer 2: come on students u just have one chance. Go and try your luck.
Everyone went ahead and held each rope tied for each of them from the top of the hill. Aakash's hands were shaking but he controlled himself as he did not want anyone to notice.
As usual anjali was the fastest in climbing, and kabir was trying his best to beat her. After climbing a distance she looked back to see aakash... just then her hands got loosened and kabir pushed her and her hands slipped...
Although she was tied to the rope but her head hit a rock(the hill wasn't very smooth and grassy) and she got scared and started shouting," save me... Aakashhh". Aakash was himself scared at the flash of that moment but he ignored all his thoughts and reached for anjali who was now hanging tied to just one rope even before the trainers could. He held her and brought her down, but till then she had fainted. The trainer called kabir nd scolded him while every1 took anjali for first aid and doctor. The trainer dismissed that day's training.
In the evening anjali was fine and she asked aakash when he came to see her. After a few random talks. Anjali asked her...
Anjali: how did u climb so fast,aakash??
Aakash: I have already lost my best friend once. Can't afford to lose once more.(In mind). I m sure I won't ever be afraid of height anymore.
Anjali wanted to ask him about how and why he lost his best friend before but she stopped as she didn't want to lose the moment.
So she smiled at him and he smiled back.
Back to present:
The memory brought a smile to his lips. He looked down from the hilltop. He wasn't scared anymore. He got flashes of his good memories with gaurav and also with anjali.
Suddenly anjali came from behind...
Anjali: I will miss you aakash, more than anybody else I have ever missed. It may happen that we never meet again after tomorrow...(tear escaped her eyes, and before she could complete aakash interrupted ).
Aakash: I love you anjali. You are the only one I have ever loved and I will never be able to love anyone else after this. You and shikha ma are my only family and no matter how much our roads part we will find a way to be together.
Saying this he hugged her, she also hugged him back. He knew it was and yes. Tears of happiness came flooding down their eyes, bringing back all the good memories and washing away all the bad ones. They remembered all the times they have spent together...
(Imagine the song "humdard" from ek villain playing from behind)...
