Is the new cast making sense? Updated .

Today's Apsara dream was really too below IPPKND EPB standards, I didn't know what I was watching, which show is this.
The old cast of Geetanjali, Shalmalee, Niranajan, Varad etc is slowly being reduced to bring in more filler and unimportant cast. Apsara, her mother in law and son...exactly what role are they playing...and how long are we tolerating them?Already tolerating Ankush and Mala was excruciating.


Choksi and his wife, are the only needed ones as the new friends in a new town for a upcoming couple concept. Its as it is hard to see Ashlok dealing with Apsara type of people, worse Apsara's character has been shown to be so cheap. I have a feeling once Shlok becomes Autowala Apsara will try to get close to him.
Still Varjal are getting some screenspace, Anjali and Niranjan's characters are reduced to nothing now. No one is searching for Anjali or remembering her, everyone is after Shlok!!

WE want the story to move with old Kirloskers and Agnihotris. Yes new characters are always needed to move the story along but they should be intermixed well . Suddenly Niranjan who murdered a man and tried to get his DIL killed is a good soul? That too repentent only about Shlok and not about Anjali?

The show was about Domestic Abuse and violence, and needed justice to that crime has to be shown...Astha aim was to make Anjali free of it and to bring love to Shlok's life. Shlok should have been trying to reastablish not only his but his mother's life too. All of a sudden this has become all about son's wajood ..its all about Shlok's capabilty in becoming a rich businessman like his father. Weird.😲
And Varad and Sojal change temperaments and moods like a snake changes skin. I have stopped understanding them.
The show is looking very weird...the only times I am able to relate is with few good Ashlok scenes that they show. And thats the only thing thats carrying the show right now.

Vinayak Chachu is gayab..exactly at the time the whole story turned around!!😕

After showing so much horrible domestic abuse for Anjali and Jyoti, they should show Shlok and Astha trying to better the situation in the Agnihotri Mansion and take away Niranjan's powers to the abuse.
And about Education and Certificates-
Okay they need to show Shlok independent of his father...but he can get his degree certificates from Varad or Jyoti's help.His education and degrees as his hardwork, if he cannot go get them he can ask his sister and brother to do that.
Astha can easily get her degree certificates from her house, she is educated in event management . These two people were working together in the first place before being married. ITs quite illogical to show them not having any degree certificates or copies and moping around for it. Even if you lost your copies, you can apply to the university to get you more copies of your marklists and degrees!!. Its not just a piece of paper that if you lose it your education is gone!!! Its quite illogical to show that since Shlok's certificates are at AM he cannot get a job!!😲

It should not have been that hard to get a decent stable job by now, atleast for one of them. Moving to bombay was necessary, agreed to break the shackles of NA's reputation around Shlok. But beyond that, all this rickshawala stuff is unnecessary.

The show should stick to its main elements and allow Astha Shlok to help change the ways of Agnihotri mansion. They have to stop this cycle of abuse for next generation, provide a better happy life for Anjali, improve Varad Sojal's personalities if that is even possible!!..

Ofcourse, and we would like to know when Shlok really fell for Astha and what that whole revenge deal and all knowing expressions about!!

Also Anjali has to show her happiness of being rid of NA's abuse and rules and regulations.
She is breathing in free air now and they need to show her feeling and expressing that.

It doesnt it takes only more time from good scenes

I think shlok pics with auto can be dream of apsara...may be she will fall for shlok...I think ashlok will start event management or catering business. ...lets see...waise I dnt understand why they r giving importance to apsara and her mil...they r so irritating...

ANJALI is still pinning for NIRAMJAN , the murderer!!!!

JYOTI / RENUKA - type sash bahu kahani - is in every serial!!! I expected EBP would be different from others!!!

However I LOVED CHAUSKY AND HIS WIFE as side characters to elevate the mood of the viewers ( comedian type) and also friends to ASHLOK in their difficult situation!!!

ASHLOK's ROMANCE - always mindblowing and treat to watch!!

My expectation that once Shlok would get established in his life, then he would come forward along with his wify to help the women( including AM - women) to be liberated from all sorts of ABUSE ( EMOTIONAL, PHYSICAL) / help them to raise voice against abuse/ make them concious about their rigjts and help them to make their own identities!!!

I am just waiting with HOPE!!!!

Domestic violence & other issues: The makers have dared to raise many social issues including domestic violence, female feotocide , sex trade (in just one epi though when a woman try to take away Aastha with her sweet words) , but the solutions they have shown are so shallow except the sex trade - I would not continued if they showed to much melodrama in the series; glad they finished it over there. Even the way Anjali was shown gaining her confidence level; well partly that is fine. But leaving a man like Niranjan , Abhay out in open ..its ridiculous. We don't know what happened to Abhay ever? Was he punished and in jail? Will he come back? Why is NA not sent to jail? Just because of the loyalty of Anjali and Shlok still instact on him; how many ever atrocities he has everything thrown under he rug. The CV's have a habit of building up things and just "thud" at the end 😕

Shlok-Astha: I am not too surprised how Shlok left NA as he he still loves his father and could not digest the fact that his father is actually a beast in the form of a saint & a big hypocrite. Shlok being a honest guy just left him; even during his fake love period he was honest ..he always is..stuck to what he believed in. His belief system ie., his father failed him, he could not digest it, now he beliees in Aastha his love for her and want to prove himself. He always was his father's shadow at a point he became his father's drk shadow too; so left him to make his own niche. But what I didnt like though is the execution of it ..ridiculous ..a man who ran Agni institutes should know that I am tired of saying why didn't he get his certs from his bro to get a proper job which is capable of!!

I just don't want to harp on this issue seeing all the optimists and romantics in the forum and just let go my tirades .

However I am really liking how they are showing the bonding between Aastha-Shlok in this process, very sweet & natural.

Varad-Sojal: We should be not too much surprised at Vard-Sojal is all I can say. Vard always yearned for fatherly love , he was a power hungry even before that he was not given importance; they are gradually building up his grey shades; he feels bad that why he wants this but still does not hesitate to tell white lies in front of hi family to get what he wants. If he can go on with a extra marital affair for 2 years behind his family's back then he is capable of doing this as well. Sojal always sways which ever way she is taken either by her mother or Anjali; she only wants her hubby's love nothing else.

Anjali-Niranjan: Niranjan always cared about Shlok & nothing else in the family and this has made his family dysfunctional along with his domestic violence , hypocrisy, and control freak nature over Anjali. That us still intact, but he is broken as Shlok left him, that's his only punishment; he still wants only Shlok back not Anjali; he does not understand her mportance in his life. What I would like to see is Anjali's bonding with her kids instead of her weeping load & loads with her parents. Hope they show it soon.. if Shlok finds a foot hod and takes her with him as she deserves it. Cant take it anymore if she taken back to AM by either NA or Varad due to their manipulations.

All the other characters - Ankush, Mala (how they are connected to Shlok-Aastha?), all of Lokhandes ...why are they being dragged like anything? , Riya her inlaws if they come ,

Apsara- her MIL...everyhting is a waste of time. The only person or family that makes sense is Choksi as they can be avenues to Shlok's future.

I don't watch whole epis anymore...come to forum see the response, FF most of it and watch what makes sense to me. --------Ditto on that buddy.

Hey thanks Jia.Ditto on degrees and job part...read my updated main post. The son of a business tycoon trying to establish himself without the father's name...agreed. good great.
But why cannot he have his degrees? His business partner references? He can apply for the certificates form university if he cannot get Jyoti or Varad to ship it to him.

Also Astha can get her certificates and get her job..atleast one of them will be employed and can keep the home running until Shlok stabilizes.
What the CVS are showing now is so illogical.

Agree about the sweet struggle of a couple...thats the only thing thats watchable now...Shrenu Avinash and AShlok is the only reason, which they know so they are throwing these sweet scenes at us. But there should be some logic in it. ITs correct to show new couple in new city struggling a bit...to make friends and establish a life. But to the extent of sharing room with likes of Apsara( horrible scene today , I hated the whole thing and wondered how cheap this show is getting...now we are getting entertained by a filler side character's dreams) Agree about uselessness of Ria/Lokhandes /Mala Ankush etc. I think Jyoti and Sid are going to have differences and Jyoti might be back at Agnis. Don't know where the story is going.
Varjal-pretty much means that CVs can change their characters anytime and we need not even try to make sense of them.
