CHAPTER 6
"Uh...don't wear a sari, Navya!" Said Anant as he saw her carrying a blue colored sari and going towards the washroom. "It will be difficult for you to manage in the mall. Wear something else. Check your closet."
Navya nodded in reply and opened her closet to find an outfit in a transparent packet. She made a confused face and unwrapped it. It was a beautiful purple-green colored chudidaar-kurta.
"Yeh suit?" Wondered Navya and looked at him to find him engrossed in his office file. He looked at her with a lopsided smile.
A small smile crept on her lips realizing it's a gift by him. She went inside the washroom mentally thanking him as he has made this clear to be not so formal with him by thanking him.

Anant, Navya and Nimisha were standing at the escalator. They made their way to a few shops. Whenever Anant was insisting Navya to buy anything for herself she was simply denying with a smile while Nimmi was jumping around and asking him to buy that stuff earing an angry glare back from him. Navya was smiling seeing this cute sibling rivalry b/w the duo. Finally they were done with their shopping and were sitting inside the food-court. Nimisha bought few dresses, jewelries and shoes for herself while Navya bought a crockery set for Sugandha, a DVD set of old songs for Om and an hand bag for Nimisha.
"Bhai, I just go and give the order." Said Nimisha and proceed towards the food-counter.
"Navya you didn't bought anything for yourself!" Anant complained.
"Anantji, I bought for my family na which is more than enough for me." Replied Navya softly.
Anant smiled as he heard the word my family' as it shows that she has fully accepted his family as hers. His face dropped a little at the next moment as somewhere he wanted her to buy something for him as well. Navya noticed his change of expressions and suppressed her smile as she was definitely planning to give him a surprise gift. After all Mr. Anant didn't like to hear a thank-you so a gift for a gift.
Nimisha came back with a tray of burger, fries and coke. She kept the tray and sat down. As Anant extended his hand to take the burger, Navya too extended at the same time and instead of holding the burger, he held her hand by mistake. Navya looked up at him in surprise while a teasing smile spread across Nimmi's lips. Both had an eye-lock but just then Nimmi coughed a bit to bring them back. He instantly left her hand and they both started looking here and there in embarrassment.
"Kya hua bhai? Have your bbuurrggeerr." Nimmi extended the word burger further teasing the duo.
"Nimmi." Anant glared at her.
"Okay fine, let's have it now. I am damn hungry!" Said Nimmi with a smile.

As they came down, Navya stopped midway patting her forehead.
"Kya hua Navya? Asked Anant.
"Uh... I think I forgot my clutch in the food court itself." Said Navya.
"What? Acha koi nahi I will bring it back." Said Anant and turned to leave but Navya stopped him.
"Nahi koi baat nai. You both go, I will bring it." Said Navya.
"Are you sure?" Asked Nimisha.
She nodded her head with a firm smile. As they went, Navya heaved a sigh of relief. She sneakily went inside a gift shop.

As Anant and Nimisha reached near their car, Nimisha saw her friend, Priya.
"Aare Priya tu!" Waved Nimisha at her friend.
"Bhai, she will drop me home, aap dono nikal jana." Said Nimisha and went to meet her friend.
Just then Anant received a call from his boss who asked him to come to the office for some urgent work.
"Ye Navya kaha reh gayi." Thought Anant.
Half an hour passed but still there was no trace of Navya. In between Anant had already made many calls but she was not picking her phone. He was getting angry now as he is already late to reach his office and also he needs to drop her home first which will delay him more.
He got down from the car and went straight up to the food court but he didn't find her anywhere. He called her there again but it was now coming as switched off.
"Where is she? How can she be so irresponsible?" Thought Anant angrily as he closed his car door harshly after getting inside.
It was an hour now and Anant's anger was rising in its peak. He was very worried as well but this time his anger was overcoming it.
Navya came back hurriedly and sat inside the car.
"Sorry, mujhe aane mein der ho gayi. Vo... Actually I...I was unable to find my clutch but..but then the food counter's manager has kept it safe with him." Lied Navya.
He looked straight and didn't reply back and started the car.
Navya could see that something was wrong with him; suddenly she realized that Nimisha was not in the car.
"Anantji, where is Nimmi?"
"She got an old friend. She will drop her home." Replied Anant without looking at her.
Navya found his behavior quite strange.
"Sab thik toh haina?" Asked Navya softly who is still unaware about his husband's short tempered nature.
Anant applied the brakes harshly as they reached their house.
"Anantji,I asked something. Is everything fine?"
"Navya, get down. We have reached home." Said Anant in a dangerous low voice.
"Par Ana..."
"I SAID GET OUT." Screamed Anant on top of his voice. Navya got frightened by his loud voice. Her eyes filled with tears. She has never seen this side of Anant. With trembling hands, she opened the door and got down from the car. Anant didn't glance at her once and drove from there.
Tears trickled down her face and she tried to compose herself. "What is my fault?" was the only thing which was going on her mind now. She clutched the gift tightly in her palm which she bought for him.
