Last week, there were reports that Salman has invited his arch-rival Shah Rukh Khan for his sister's wedding reception and now speculations are doing the rounds that his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif is also invited.

Salman's sister Arpita will get married to her long-time beau Ayush Sharma on 18 November in Hyderabad and the reception will be held on 21 November in Mumbai.

The wedding will be a family function, but the reception is set to be a grand affair as biggies from the political world and film industry are expected to attend.

"The wedding will mostly be attended by family... but the reception is likely to be a grand affair. It looks like it will be the talk of the town," a source told Mid-Day.


Salman has already booked the exquisite Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad for two days for the sangeet, mehendi and wedding ceremonies and has spent 2 crore on it.

The "Kick" actor even personally invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his sister's important day. And if the rumours are true, then he has sent an invitation to his "Karan Arjun" co-star Shah Rukh and ex-girlfriend Katrina, Deccan Chronicle reported.

From Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Subhash Ghai and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan are expected to attend the reception.

On 18 November, Arpita, who is the adopted sister of Salman and siblings Arbaaz, Sohail and Alvira Khan Agnihotri, will be entering into wedlock with long term boyfriend and upcoming actor Aayush Sharma at Royal Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad.

Aayush, hailing from Mandi, a small town in Himachal Pradesh, is the grandson of former telecommunications minister Sukh Ram and younger son of Himachal Pradesh cabinet minister Anil Sharma.

The marriage will be performed as per Hindu traditions at the royal mansion while a reception will be held at Mumbai on 21 November.
