I think the reason Ishita is always a target, is to show why Raman is thinking of leaving Ishita for his happiness. As much as I enjoy IshRa together, there's no denying that because of Raman and his past/ current relations, Ishita is always the one that gets caught in the crossfire. If she hadn't married Raman, she would've never presumably been attempted to be molested by Param, never gone to jail due to Adi, and never have to interact/be ogled at by Ashok and Param. She probably would've been living the life she had before (maybe married to Mani as he had an interest in her and have an easygoing life?).
But what Raman also doesn't realize is that Ishita has also received so much happiness after being married to him. She's actually gotten married and accepted by a family, has become a mother, and her life has become enjoyable and not lonely anymore. He doesn't realize that she doesn't mind going through all the baggage and problems that come with his past/current relations, just to have continued access to the life she has now. Raman is so insecure that he doesn't realize that he means something to Ishita, that he can be the reason (along with Ruhi) for Ishita's happiness.
I think Simmi will play an important role here, in making Raman realize that Ishita needs him/ is willing to endure everything about his past/current relations in order to keep her married happy life. Simmi has been relatively against Ishita from the beginning. It's only recently she's begun realizing that Ishita is a good a person and deserves to be in the position that she is (well-liked by everyone).
I think this track will not only open the doors to an intense confession scene between Raman and Ishita, but also open the doors to Simmi accepting Ishita full heartedly and finally breaking it off with Param.
