Are episode rating threads required?

Are rating threads for episodes required at all? Not even a single person bothered to rate any of two of this week's RTs...and this has been the trends since a month or two except 1 episode. Even the ones who watch episodes don't rate them.
Shreya di, you may close the topic if you find it unnecessary.

No according to me.
I never visit the rating thread when I want to decide if I should watch the episode or not.
also it made no sense to add 'didn't watch/fell sleepy' option because someone who didn't watch the episode doesn't have the right to rate it.
.
.
IMO the poll thread should be made the EDT with the links in first post and discussions/ratings in the other posts.

I don't rate the episodes coz i don't have a good sense to judge a crime serial,the episodes which i rate as 4 maybe 1 for others,that's why...

When we had 1 episode a week we started this to talk about it the whole week. With the overdose of episodes thrice a week they don't stay in memory even for a day.

I rate whenever I see the rating thread the day after an episode I have seen and I look for it when I miss an episode. ...to decide whether I should watch or not. But if there's no response you can do away with it and all reviewers can write their score on the EDT itself.

i only rate the episodes i have watched..
its not fair rating the episodes when i haven't watched...

i depend on the ratings and EDT to decide if i need to watch or not...
but as Angel observed there are very less ratings these days... 😕😕
but if there is no response from anyone in these rating threads then it would be better to merge EDT and rating poll... 😕😕😲

I really feel that rating threads don't have the same use as they did before. Up to a year ago I used to visit only the rating threads to get a feel of whether to watch the episode or not. Nowadays I just visit the EDT to see whether an episode is worth watching or not. And truth be told even if I watch an episode I don't feel like rating it because most of the time for me an episode is 1 or 0 and I don't feel like saying that every time. I do rate the episodes I do WUs for but that's it.

Maximum people don't bother to rate an episode...i also forget to rate some time...& surprisingly in each case i notice few 4/5 rating...i agree with Shreya that now rating thread is not what we had 😒
