CHAPTER 5

"I got to know from Nimmi that you are a MBA pass out from her college. Is it so?" Asked Anant. He kept his laptop on the side table of the bed as he saw Navya coming inside with a heap of ironed clothes.

A week after their marriage has passed. Anant and Navya used to hardly get any time to have a conversation as he used to come late from the office and leave early in the mornings as he took a 1 week leave for his marriage, he needs to compensate now by over timing He got to know about Navya's MBA that day itself when she came to his office but didn't got time to converse with her but today he came early after completing all his pending works and decided to have a word with her after dinner.

"Ji" Said Navya and sat beside him after keeping the clothes inside the wardrobe.

"MBA in finance, right?" Asked Anant to which she nodded her head.

"So, why you didn't thought about doing a job after that?"

"You won't believe Anantji" Said Navya "After Maa's death, I was feeling like I will fail in my last semester forget about doing a job but then I got passing marks which saved me from giving any back paper." Replied Navya.

Anant smiled hearing her reply as firstly she took his name for the first time though he didn't like that extra ji' and secondly she talked freely with him.

"But you know what; you can still apply for jobs. I like independent women" He added the last line with a smirk. Navya lowered her head with a smile hearing him.

"I..I don't know, I mean I haven't thought about it." Replied Navya.

"Its fine Navya, take your time and if you are comfortable then only give it a thought." Said Anant. "Chalo it's getting late, let's sleep now." Navya nodded and they lied on the bed facing opposite to each other.

Suddenly Navya turned towards him.

"Anant ji."

"Haan bolo" He turned towards her.

"Thank you." Smiled Navya.

"Thank you, for what?"

"Vo..umm..bas asae." Said Navya and quickly turned back. She was really impressed by his thoughts. Generally guys don't prefer girls to work after marriage but he is a set example for those guys as he is ready to support his wife in any way. She was overwhelmed by this gesture and thanked him for this but didn't know how to frame it in words in front of him.

"Pagal ladki." Thought Anant with a smile as it really amuses him that for one or the other thing she regularly thanked him.

It was a Sunday morning; Om and Anant were reading newspapers while Sugandha was busy in phone. Navya was serving them tea with a smile. She served Sugandha as well but she ignored her and went to the other side making her upset again.

"Bhabhi, bhabhi." Came Nimsiha cheerfully and started twirling her round and round.

"Leave all these work; let's go out for shopping today."

"Shopping?"

"Haan shopping. Please don't deny." Pleaded Nimisha.

"Yes Navya beta, you must go. Whole day you are so engrossed in these household chores. You deserve a break." Said Om.

"Par Papa, Maaji?" Asked Navya worriedly.

"I have given the permission na toh bas, you go get ready."

Navya nodded and Nimsiha smiled ear to ear.

They proceed to go but Anant stopped them.

"Papa, I think I should also go, Delhi is quite unsafe these days." Said Anant.

"Ahem bhai! Usually when I go alone, you don't have so many problems but today bhabhi is going so this much concern?" Winked Nimisha.

"Nimmi, you are so gone now." Said Anant and threw a sofa cushion on her and in the next second they both were running like Tom and Jerry in the whole room.

Om was laughing seeing them while Navya giggled as well. They started running around Navya as Nimmi held her from back to save her and Anant tried to catch her but she left Navya in a hurry making her loose her balance as her leg slipped but just then Anant held her from her waist. Navya's hands went automatically around Anant's neck for support. Both were lost in each other's eyes just then Nimisha's giggles make them come back to present. He made her stand and both blushed thinking about what happened few minutes before.

"Acha ab bohut masti mazak hua. Anant, you also go along with them." Said Om and went from there.

"Tujhe toh mai.." Anant patted on Nimmi's head and she ran after sticking her tongue at him.

"Let's go" Said Anant with an awkward smile and they went to change.
