Ria's Flat...
Taani and Ria sits across from each on her dining table. "Let me know," Taani ask her gravely. "What?" Ria asked with dead expressions. "L'effort est ma force. With what efforts did you make to achieve that position... Tell me also how. Like you said... Everything you have achieved with your own ability and skill... That secret... Let me know as well," Taani tells her in no nonsense tone.
"What is the reason for you to ask suddenly like this?" Ria asked rather than answering her. Taani answered determined, "I have found hope." "Hope?" Ria asked frowning. "Everyone had told me. That one's life is destined even before one is born. That no matter how hard you try, your predestined circumstances will not change. I had thought that was true. But it wasn't true for one person... You!" Taani tells her as she looks up at her. Ria looks at her squarely.
On the other hand...
At Reyansh's place...
Reyansh sits in his room and listens to his recording with Ria. Whereas it brought him laughter before, now he's strangely not happy anymore. When his doctor friend drops by, Reyansh recounts the entire encounter. Reyansh starts with full suspense but overdoing it trying to make himself happy, "While the elevator was going up to the 3rd floor... 4th floor, my heart was beating... so fast! Ding! I've arrived. Elevator doors are opening up... Slowly... slowly... I could see Ria's expressions in between the doors. She is completely pale!" Reyansh tells his friend while making different expression and giving sound effects but it still seems dull almost as if somebody is trying to hard.
He pretends to laughs remembering her expressions as he sits down saying, "There's nothing like a revenge for healing. Do you want to listen?" Reyansh ask as he reach for the recorder. "Rey Singhania," Swayum says calmly. "What?" he asks looking up at him. "Why don't you just cry?" he asks. "What?" he asked taken aback. "I told you to cry," he tells him again. "Me?" Reyansh asked surprised as he looks away and then looks back at him, "Why?" "If you don't cry in this kind of situation, when would you cry?" he ask him. Reyansh chuckles a little, "What kind of situation is this?" Swayum ask. "When I'm exhilarated, would you cry in a situation like this?" he counter backs.
"When you've finally done it, you feel empty and sucky. You wonder what you've been racing towards. In that kind of situation" his friend says after thinking. "Enough" Reyansh says he stand up suddenly pi**ed, "Leave now!" he tells Swayum stand. "Are you scared?" Swayum ask him least bother by his behavior. Reyansh leaves his arm and look down at him confused almost or maybe... scared. "You are scared that your tears won't come out?" Swayum continues to ask. "Why wouldn't my tears come out?" Reyansh question back annoyed.
"Then cry," Swayum demands. Reyansh looks away and then back at him, "Why are you overacting? Just stop it" he ask. It's clear he's still very angry and sad, so rather than pretend this revenge is healing him, he needs to take the
first steps towards real recovery by crying and expressing his pain. Reyansh kicks him out, claiming he has no reason to cry.
Back at Ria's place...
Taani leaves and Ria's brother happens to see her and recognize her. Yoon Joo gives her brother spending money and he wonders if Reyansh and Taani are working together, otherwise its such a coincidence they both showed up in Ria's life at the same time? Ria asks him to investigate.
Later in the day...
Taani hears from Aditi that Artemis has decided to sue Shivam for his illegal distribution of goods, but what's worse is that his mother has just passed away. Taani rushes to the hospital, where Swayum happens to work.
In the Hospital...
Doctor friend calls Paris asking for Reyansh's medical history. Reyansh arrives and lectures his friend. "Wrath is when attaining one's desire is obstructed or was subjected to coercion," Reyansh lectures as he circle words on the marker board. "It is a negative psychological condition that occurs in order to resist a situation like that," he says hitting the board with the marker as Swayum calmly listens to him. "But, was my desire obstructed? No. Was I subjected to coercion? No! Then, I haven't felt any wrath. None of these. Nothing.. nothing." he says as he frantically starts to cancel all the words on the board. Suddenly he stands back and looks at Swayum. "Ah, there is one coercion I was faced with. You try to force me to cry. You did," Reyansh accused him. "When was the time you cried?" Swayum asked him calmly. "Again! You're saying that again!" Reyansh exclaimed irritated.
"Hey, jerk!" Swayum finally exclaimed as his patience is running out. "When did you cry?" Reyansh asked Swayum the same question. Swayum leans back on his chair and sighs. "Accepting your condition is the beginning of your treatment," he tells him gravely. "Let's stop now. I'll just take the medicine," Reyansh says as he picks his med and walks out.
Outside the hospital...
Reyansh walks out talking to himself highly annoyed, "As if there are so many dudes going around crying!" He beeps his car and sits inside and sighs. He starts the car and classical music starts playing. Almost immediately, Reyansh starts crying. But after about a minute, he stops, and checks the rearview mirror. Nope - no tears.
At that point, he sees two people arguing in front of his car, with the guy telling the girl he never wants to see her again. The girl turns, and Reyansh recognizes her as Taani. So that means the guy must be Shivam. He gets out of his car and Taani still thinks he's merely Secretary Kim and asks if he's here to serve the lawsuit on Shivam? If so, he ought to have some decency since there is afuneral going on.
Inside the Hospital...
Reyansh reenters the hospital to see Shivam in the funerary parlor for his mother. He calls up Secretary Moon(his assistant) and tells him to send a floral arrangement and spots Taani again, who is waffling between going into the room and staying outside as In-chan wished. *Click click!* And Abhi(Ria's brother) is surreptitiously sending photos of Reyansh and Taani back to Ria. It looks like those two could be working together. Abhi is now practically Ria's personal private eye, as she orders him to snoop around for more information on their relationship.
When Aditi meets Taani outside the hospital, she reminds her friend to butt out of Shivams's affairs. Taani reassures her that she will end it for sure, and then they spot Secretary Moon(Reyansh's assistant) and the legal team for Alovera arriving at the hospital. Taani intercepts Secretary Moon before he can see Shivam and asks if she could write a letter requesting leniency for Shivam. Secretary Moon encourages it; he's not sure how it will be received, but he will forward her letter.
Yoga Class...
Reyansh has gone for his yoga lesson, except he's incredibly wobbly standing on one leg. He falls out of form when he gets an unexpected classmate - his father. Chairman Malik can be such a flirt though, winking at the teacher. Reyansh accuses his father of following him around, but then Chairman Malik brings attention to the photographer snapping pics behind the rows of lockers. Did Reyansh sleep with a married woman? Chairman Malik tsks at his son's taste in women and leaves for Nil Malhotra's studio.
Nil Malhotra's Studio...
Chairman Malik is escorted through the store to a fashionable basement that looks like an upscale party lounge. Though Nil Malhotra is a fashion designer, he also has a side business of being a successful matchmaker for the rich. Chairman Malik is here for a request regarding Reyansh Singhania.'
In the parking lot...
Abhi reviews the photos he's snapped that day, and doesn't notice Reyansh creeping up to his car, his face rising up to the window as he finds his prey. He finally knocks on the window and confiscates the camera.
Khanna house...
Dinner Table...
Dinner at the Khanna household is a reserved affair as Mrs. Khanna asks how GN Fashion's deal with Alovera is going. She even hints to Payal that Reyansh is single but Payal isn't interested, and Ria covers up her shock over having him even closer around her. Mrs. Khanna also has Ria visit a different doctor to see if she can get pregnant. Ria then gets a text message from "Abhi's friend." It's actually Reyansh, and he tells her that he's just moved into the house across the street from her.
