Prime time has thrown up more faces for TV viewers - Jassi, and Milee. The latter is the youngest, newest face on the block. How these faces can bring joy to people is imaginable. Jassi celebrated her birthday by endorsing a newly opened food chain in Mumbai, which has franchised the humble fast food of Maharashtra, the vada-pav.
Milee brought smiles to a few hundred school children in Mumbai. The privileged ones were students of the Shivshruti Municipal School in Kurla, in Mumbai, one of the worst affected areas, as it is very close to the Mithi river and ravaged in the recent floods. She visited the school, chatted and played with the children and distributed school kits with essentials the children had lost.
A magician and a tattoo artist also entertained them. The Milee day at the school was not mere fun, games and treats - plenty of that but along with that each child went through a complete medical examination, courtesy the Rotary Club of Downtown, Mumbai. UNICEF made a simple chart presentation to the children explaining the importance of hygiene in their daily lives.
