Part 3
Suneheri smiled to herself. She had given a performance worthy of an Oscar. She had erased all the footage from the camera that she had found in her room and put a recording of herself, confessing to Aahil that she felt the same about him, and that she is ready to marry him.
"Muje Qubool Hai" she had said. Now she was really going to do this! She was going to marry Nawab Aahil Raza Ibrahim and she was going to get him to sign the documents that gave all his money to Razia. Then she was going to leave, with 2 Crore's in her hand. Her new life will start in a few days. Then she remembered that moment, when Aahil had tried to hug her after watching the footage. How she had again stalled his advances and said "Aahil ,sab dek raha hain!"
But the truth was, she only cared about one pair of eyes that was looking at her. Rehan. She felt uncomfortable being close to Aahil when Rehan was looking. She felt like she was cheating on him? "Don't be crazy Suneheri. How can you cheat on a man who is no longer in your life?"
Suddenly she looked up as she heard a sound at the door. Aahil was standing there. He was smiling and he looked really happy.
"Sanam!" he said smiling and coming towards her. Without any preamble, he hugged her. "I love you! I knew you would say yes. I knew that you wanted to know where we stood after the three month contract before you told me how you felt? Even though, I have to say... I was a bit surprised you didn't say yes to my face? You're usually not shy?" he smiled looking down at her.
Suneheri gave a small side smile. "Oh God...this Sanam was not SHY? She seemed like such a reserved girl, but seems like with Aahil she is full on demonstrative? So SHE would probably have put her arms around his neck, planted a smooch on his lips, and said "Yes Aahil Meri Jaan, I will marry you?" Well I can't do that! Main ITENI bhi achi actress nahin hu?"
"Its OK baby! I am not complaining. I liked the video diary style confession? It was cute. Totally unexpected. So I am happy! I just want to marry you, and this time we will do it RIGHT OK? I promise I will enthusiastically take part in ALL the rituals? Not like last time with Nida?"
"NIDA? Now who the hell was this NIDA? Good God, how many people did she have to know about? That day she had barely managed in front of Sanam's sister? Now this Nida? Wait a minute? Did he say "Last time he didn't enjoy doing all the rituals with Nida?" What the Hell? Was Romeo ki aulaad married BEFORE this as well? Was Sanam his second wife? BAPPA...kaha phasa diya?"
"You know my heart was never in it, so how could I enjoy it? Especially when all the time, I was secretly in love with YOU? I was only marrying Nida coz Ammi asked me to, to satisfy the will! It was MY good fortune that at the last minute, Ammi got YOU to marry me Sanam! I shudder to think what would have happened if I had married Nida?" Aahil said, tightening his hold on her.
"OH...so he didn't MARRY Nida, but he was going to, and then that Billi got Sanam to take her place? Uss Billi bhi na? Surely there must have been some Chaal of her's behind that too? But of course Romeo here would have been too busy rejoicing he got married to Sanam to care? At least it answered her previous question? Aahil had been in love with Sanam BEFORE they got married?"
Aahil then bent his head towards her. He was coming at her lips. "Bappa...kya karun?" Now she had said Yes to marrying him, how was she going to avoid getting close to him? Suneheri closed her eyes, and then slowly opened them again. Aahil's face was coming closer, his intent clear. His lips were coming closer, and just before they could make contact with her lips, she turned her face, and his lips grazed her cheek instead. Aahil smiled against her cheek. "Why so shy baby?" he said in a husky voice.
"Rehan...tum bhi na..." She said. Just as the words left her lips, she realised what she had said, and she froze.
Aahil put her away from him and stepped back.
"REHAN? Did you just call me REHAN?"
Suneheri swallowed. Looking anywhere but at Aahil.
"Dammit Sanam, I asked you a question? Did you just call me REHAN?"
"Aahil...it's not what you think...I..." Suneheri stammered. She looked at Aahil through hooded eyes and he looked livid. She had never seen him angry in the past few days that she had known him. To be frank, she had thought he never got angry with Sanam? So patient was he with her. But NOW? He looked ready to blow his head off. Suneheri trembled. "What have I DONE?" She asked herself.
"You know, I wondered what on earth was wrong with you for the past few days? You've been acting so weird. Keeping me at arm's length? First I thought it was coz you wanted to harass me for not accepting my feelings for you earlier. But then, I wondered what was going on? WHY were you not answering me back for what I told you at the Kohinoor launch? After all, I had just confessed to loving you, on a stage, not caring we were in front of all those people? But instead of getting close to me, you just got further away from me? NOW I understand why? It all makes sense now. It's because HE was back right? After he left, you came close to me, I started to believe that you loved ME? But now he is back, suddenly you don't seem to want my company as much? GOD I am such a fool!" Said Aahil, running his hand through his hair. His eyes and voice full of bitterness.
Suneheri started at Aahil. WHAT was he talking of? Was he suggesting that Sanam loved REHAN? No. NO. He CANT mean that? WHY would he think such a thing?
"Wh...What are you SAYING Aahil? What do you mean...what?..." Suneheri started to say, her voice trembling. But Aahil cut her off.
"PLEASE Sanam. Don't take me for a fool! I know you and Rehan were close before we got married. Heck you were close AFTER we got married? Wherever I looked I used to see the two of you? Having you're little "chats". It got to a point where I couldn't stand it anymore? I asked Rehan to go manage the Kohinoor project coz I just couldn't stand having him near you anymore? Little good that did? Now that he's back, it's all the same again. It's all about HIM again? You know he wanted to propose to you? Did he tell you that? The day WE got married? 3 months and nothing has changed? This time you agreed to marry me, but you say his name when I was trying to kiss you? What the HELL Sanam? What am I supposed to think? Is being the Begum of Bhopal suddenly too tempting to let go of? Is that what this is about? All those things we said, all those moments we shared...did it mean ANYTHING at all? Do you love ME at all?" said Aahil, his eyes brimming with pain. But Suneheri didn't see that?
"Rehan was going to propose to Sanam?" said Suneheri in a faint voice.
"Yes. He told me himself...WHAT?" said Aahil, when he suddenly realised that she had spoken of herself in the third person. "Did you just call yourself Sanam?" said Aahil incredulously, looking at Sanam with a frown.
"I have to go..." Said Suneheri. She was not even looking at Aahil. She looked like she was in a trance.
"Sanam...Sanam?...Where are you going?...Dammit...Sanam...?" Aahil called out, but she didn't seem to hear him. She walked out of the room as if on automation. Aahil covered his face with his hands. WHAT had just happened?
Suneheri was walking down the corridor. Her feet were carrying her, but she didn't know exactly where? Rehan loved Sanam? He was going to propose to her? So what was SHE? "Don't act dumb Suneheri, you KNOW what you are? The consolation price. The look alike. He couldn't get the original, so he was going to get the duplicate instead?"
THAT was why he had liked her? Coz she reminded him of his precious 'Sanam'?" What a FOOL she had been? To think that all those feelings had been for her? How dare he call HER a liar? Who was the liar now? Who was the pretender now?
Suddenly Suneheri felt VERY angry. She walked through the house with purpose. She was going to confront him today. Damned the money, damned that Paan Ki Dukaan. Damn it ALL? She wanted answers and she was going to get them!

OK, so I wanted to write a longer part, but this was done, so I thought I would post it. It seems like this is going to be a 4 part series, not three. But I wanted Aahil to know that something is seriously wrong. Now Suneheri also knows about Rehan's history with Sanam. Next part is the showdown, on many levels!
