Ishita Ganguly is an Indian Television actress. She is currently seen in a Colors TV drama, Shastri Sisters. She is from Kolkata West Bengal. She has previously done Bengali tv shows before entering Shastri Sisters.

Ishitia Ganguly was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India in 1995. She was raised in Kolkata. She has done her schooling from Kolkata also. Ishita Ganguly has earlier acted in Bengali TV shows such as Mrs Shingoroy, Annapurna and Bhasha. She has been acting since the age of 13 and has been a part of tele-films like "Ekti Chhotto Meyer", "Golpo" and "Achena Manush. She was based in Kolkata but for Shastri Sisters, she has moved to Mumbai with her mother.

According to her, she got this show through Facebook. Makers of Shastri Sisters contacted her through Facebook and asked her to send a video folio. She was later called to Mumbai for a final look test. She came to Mumbai for a week to try her luck. That is how she got a first break in Hindi television show.

She is fluent in Hindi and getting a help from a Hindi teacher to get the Kanpuri accent right. She is very happy with her achievement and wants to make her name in acting. She says Mumbai is more professional than Kolkata. She has a brother named Sumanta Ganguly. Sumanta is a casting director at Shashi Sumeet Productions. Her final and ultimate goal is to do a Bollywood movie. Her faourite actors are Shah Rukh and Salman Khan.

According to Ishita, she is exactly like Anushka. Her character has similarities with her. Currently she is focused on her career and not dating anyone.
