PART 26
I got up next morning and found RK sleeping beside me. The only thing that lay between us was a pillow wall. Red, Yellow, Maroon cushions were arranged between us in a straight line. I yawned holding my head. The pain and stress was definitely less but my head still spun like crazy. I checked my phone. There were 2 calls from Stacy. She must be waiting outside. I pulled out of the bed and opened the door for her.

"How are you Mam?"

"Better. Black Coffee please Stacy."

"Black Coffee?", she looked confused.

"Umm, RK is inside.", I smiled cheekily. She grinned and proceeded towards the kitchen.

I moved back into my room and pulling a towel, I headed straight into the washroom. I felt fresher this morning. Maybe it was the RK effect. I quickly rolled my hair into the towel and then came out wearing my bathrobe. He was still asleep. I tiptoed to the cupboard and opened it. He moved momentarily and I froze on my spot. Once he was back asleep, I took the clothes I could find and rushed back into the bathroom.

When I returned, I saw Stacy standing at the door with a tray in her hand. I looked at her and nodded. "RK! Good morning.", I spoke out loud. RK opened his eyes with difficulty.

"Come in Stacy.", I turned and smiled to Stacy. RK jumped and sat up rubbing his eyes. His hair were tousled and his shirt had loosened. He looked cute. I bit my lip.

"Hi.", he narrowed his pupils and looked at me.

"Hi.", I smiled weakly. Stacy kept his coffee on the side-table. He got up rubbing his eyes and headed straight for the washroom.

"Umm...", I hesitated. He turned back.

"What?", he turned and stared.

"Should I check the washroom for umm, you know.", I asked. His eyes widened for a second and then came back. "It is fine.", he said and walked in.

I was sitting on the table when he came out of my room dressed in white tux and black shirt. Will had arranged his clothes while he was in the washroom and I kept them in the room and came out, giving him full privacy. As soon as he sat, Will handed over the tablet to him which had his Saturday Schedule. He worked on Saturdays too. How amazing. I rolled my eyes. "What is wrong?", he asked noticing me rolling my eyes. "Nothing.", I shook my head and continued nibbling my cereals.

"A doctor checked you last night.", he continued sipping his coffee. "What?", I choked myself. Stacy gave me water. "What did he check?", I popped my eyes.

"SHE.", he corrected me. I sighed in relief.

"She said you've been having hormonal changes in your body. No specific reason why. But your emotions are on a fluctuating state."

"Am I pregnant?, I choked myself yet again.

"NO!", he shot back awkwardly. I closed my eyes in relief and stuffed my mouth with a spoonful of cereal.

"She said that emotions and thoughts do such things to hormones. And sudden marriage and stuff. You know what I mean right!", he looked at me. I nodded. "She said that these hormones are causing hypersensitivity in your body, which explains your sudden sensitivities to alcohol. Are your periods normal?", he asked casually.

Another choke. This time, I vomited out the last bite of the cereal. He had to get up to rub my back to normalise my breathing. When my breathing stabilised, he went back to his table. I moved my eyes around. There was no one.

"I had seen that we're alone Madhu.", he calmed me down.

"My periods are...", I hesitated, "Normal..."

"Good. I'll tell Dr. Gupta about it."

"Dr. Gupta?", I asked.

"Dr. Shefali Gupta, your gynaecologist."

"Ohh...", I stared eating again.

"Are you stressed about anything?", he asked.

"Not that I know of.", I calmed down thinking about stress.

"Is this Marriage?", he raised his hand.

"NO!", I shot back. Without choking myself this time round. "There's no stress. I feel fine."

"Good. I'll talk to Dr. Gupta now and she said you'll be fine soon."

"No medicines?"

"Nope. Your mind will soon accept your environment. That is what she said.", he smiled and finished his breakfast. Will returned and took RK's tablet.

"We should make a leave, Sir", Will said. I frowned as RK got up, leaving. On the door, he turned back to me. "Take care!"

He waved to me and left. I kept standing near the dining table, smiling at the door. "You look alright Mam!", Stacy poked me. I smiled to her and jumped into my couch. I felt like lying down and just watching the ceiling.

I woke up to the sounds of keyboard clicks. Opening my eyes, I saw RK sitting on the couch beside me and typing furiously. I stretched my hands and got up. He smiled to me and peered back into the screen. "Do you feel fine?", he asked. "Ahaan!", I yawned. "You've been sleeping like a lazy.", he commented typing something. I chuckled. My tab pinged. Maa's video message.

"How are you Madhu!", she cried. RK smiled while typing. I looked at him. Mom noticed. "Madhu!", she yelled at me. I came back to her. "Hi Maa!", I rolled my eyes. "Kaisi hai? (How are you?)"

"Main achchi. (I am good!) Maa."

"How is RK?", I peered to gaze him. He wasn't listening.

"He is fine Maa. He is right here.", I turned my tab to him. "RK!", I called. He looked up and saw the tab and nodded in respect. "Namaste Maa!", he said. "God bless you RK!", Maa blessed him and I walked into my room. Throwing my tablet on the bed, I followed the same path. "So, how is everyone there Maa?", I asked supporting my head on my wrist.

"It is all good. Tum batao. Wahan sab kaisa hai?" [How is everything there?]

"Yahaan sab achcha hai Maa!" [Everything is great here, Maa!]

"How are you and RK", she lowered her tone. I chuckled. "We are fine.", I told her assuringly.

"I miss you! You promised to visit in December!", she reminded.

"Yes Maa! I remember. Let me speak to RK and his mom and I'll let you know.", I told her. She smiled.

We continued to talk for an hour or so. It was when RK entered the room that I realised the duration of the international video call. "You'll have to let me pay for your WiFi Bills!", he rolled his eyes. I screeched and hastily bid Maa bye and cut the call.

"I didn't realise that we have been talking for over an hour.", I hit myself. He had come in to adjust his tie and shirt.

"You leaving somewhere?", I asked crouching on the bed.

"Yeah. I have a private tea with a client."

"Ohh. Wow. Good luck."

"Hmm.", he replied and walked out. I followed him jumping out of bed.

"Dinner?", I asked. He stopped and replied.

"I'll be there by 8. Keep it light Stacy.", he spoke the last sentence looking at Stacy. Stacy melted. I frowned. "He is mine.", I thought.

He waved to me and left the room. I sat there for a while reading novels and watching TV by the time dusk fell. I went inside and changed into jeans and tshirt because it was growing colder. I had a small denim jacket over my tshirt where I tugged in my phone.

When I came out, I saw Stacy opening the door. I smiled realising that it was him. He came in and Will followed him. Will was narrating something from his laptop. Stacy gave him water and I sat on the couch waiting for him to be free.

"So..", he said half an hour later. I was half asleep waiting for him. His "So" woke me up. "Tell them the deal is on.", RK told Will. Will nodded.

"Have a good evening, Mam!", Will greeted while leaving. I smiled.

"Lets eat.", he stood up and looked at me. I made an expression.

"What?", he asked.

"Nothing.", I said clenching my teeth together and followed him to the table. Stacy had left by then. It was just me and him. We quietly munched our food. It was a moment of silence. After dinner, I picked up the dishes and put them in the dishwasher. He waited for me to finish. It looked as if he wanted to say something. "You wanna say something.", I asked. "Lets go for a walk", he muttered really softly. I stopped my work for a second and looked at him. His hands were in his pocket and he was looking at me.

"Look, if you're doing this as your 'supposed' responsibility, then I am ok.", I told him.

"No.", he looked away.

"Lets walk.", he said. "Ok.", I replied and followed him out.

First of all. I hope you are feeling better and that you are better.

Secondly. Awesome update. 👏👏

He stayed. 🤣 RK stayed the night, and slept on the bed. 🤣 With Madhu lying right beside him. 🤣 Oh God Shivu. Do you know how hard I laughed on that one. 🤣 I am still laughing just thinking about it. 🤣 The RK that tried to distant himself from Madhu all this while, the RK who had nightmares, the RK that knew if he didn't make an effort he would lose Madhu. 🤣

And you didn't stop there. 😆 When they ate breakfast. Oh God. That conversation, those questions. That it was a she, not a he. If she was pregnant, making both of them uncomfortable. But the question if she was regular. 🤣 I almost destroyed my lappy thanks to that. It was really close that I spat out the water I was drinking. Thankfully I didn't.😆

After swallowing the water I had and later on composing myself. I wondered who was more uncomfortable with that question RK or Madhu. 🤣 I didn't have time to come to an answer because I had to scramble to school.😆 That's why I unresed this late.😆 Sorry.

If I didn't mention those events earlier were kind of a surprise for me.😆 Okay, surprise number Three. RK told what he wanted for dinner, indicating he was going to have his dinner with Madhu. Number four. He came back regulary to check up on her.😆 An over overprotective and caring husband he has become.😆 The fifth and final surprise was RK asking Madhu out for a stroll. Just like that, out of the blew. Our precious Aladdin is turning out to be Mufasa. 🤣 Just in case you don't remember Mufasa is Simba's father. You know Lion King. 🤣 I know very childish of me, given my age. Luckily not many knows how old I am. 🤣 But that is the only character that I could come up with just like that. Somebody who cared about everything and everyone around him. I will try to come up with a different parable. Just don't know what exactly. 😆 My mind is full with other stuff right now. 🤣

Okay lastly I would like to say.

YES! Ha! I came first. 🤣 I am really happy, because it has been a while since I came first to this story. 😆

Thanks for the update and for the PM.😛 Thankfully I had time to res before recieving it otherwise I wouldn't come first. 🤣
