Hi again lol

yesterday when I was watching II... I seriously felt like crying at what I saw on the stage... 3 girls... one guy... and the girl gets out... I know Charu isn't the greatest singer... but I don't think she should have gone YET.... i personally felt that prashant should've gone... then parleen... then maybe Charu... but defenitely not yet....

and Jaaved ji gave a BIGGGGGGGGG lecture.... on how we should look down up our selves.... and seriosuly... I can't vote... I live in Canada rite... but it seriously made me feel horrible living in this world... where women seriously like said have to work 3x as hard to prove themselves....

I have a question to everyone on this forum who possibly voted.... I wanna ask what stops you from voting for the female contestants.... is it because u think the guys are good looking... or cuz u think the guys willl vote for the girls.... like I wanna know wat it is.... and after listening to Jaaved ji... did u feel like changing ur voting habits at all...

also... to everyone else.... did ur head sharam se chuk when he said all that.. or were u unaffected???

Do u actually agree with what he said.... and the fact that men probably don't vote as much and some of the older one's are sexist and vote for men.... and that a women is possibly a women's worst enemy....

and last... after all this do you still think that one of the girls can possibly win Indian Idol??

p.s. the entire time he was talking i kept thinking that Indian Idol was an analogy/example of our own world... and being a girl... i personally don't want to be working 3x as hard as someone to get to the same position... defenitely not!

But I agree with Javed ji.

Its a known fact that women have to work harder/ better to get/ achieve and be acknowledged in their field of expertise. Even in the corporate world Men having the same qualifications and experience earn more than their women counterparts.

I believe it. In Indian Idol the boys fared as badly or as good as the girls.

Pooja and Deepali definitely didn't deserve to be in the bottom 4. Its hard to analyse the voting patterns. Prashant and Emon were not upto the mark..in my opinion.

I personally think... the top three will be Amit Paul, Ankita and Parleen.

To me what Javedji said sounded absoulutely right.

hi
a very good topic with a lot of questions so i will answer them as per the paragraphs
i too agree with you the charu was not as good as some of the others but yes she was better than prashant (that is my opinion no offence meant)
secondly i was not ashmed because i have voted keeping the performance in my mind i cant vote for girls simply because they are not getting enough votes my logic is that i would vote for only 1 contestant and that too only 1 vote based on the performance irrespective of whether that contestant is a boy or a girl like in the first gala i voted for deepali and then in the last 3 gala i have voted for amit because i thought that they really deserved it so i would not like to change my voting habits
as far as javedji's comments are concerned i do feel that if a girl is voting for the boys only based on the looks then it is wrong so people who vote in this manner should change their voting habits and take some positive things out from javedji's speech
as far as the question of hether a female contestant can become an indian idol well i think that yes they can provided they work hard and the people vote on the basis of performance

I have to say...why is it that whenever girls vote for guys, theie always stereotyped that they do it because they think a guy is goodlooking. Why does everyone think that? I know this has nothing to do with the topic, but why is it that people (including women themselves) think that girls only vote for who they think it hot. We're intelligent, sophisticated beings, and we too look at talent while votin on somehting like indian idol. sorry, but im sick of that remark. If we voted for the hottest than well....y did debujit win? I mean, abhishek isnt very good looking, neither is prashant..y are they still there? ( no offense I dotn mean to question their looks, jus trying to make a point, sorry fans, please dont get angry)

Now to the topic. Yes, I mean, it really got me thinking and made me look deep inside myself and how society. Not the indian society, but the worlds social bee hive. It's true, women have to be 3x better than a man, for that to be acknowledged. Whether it be works or even raising a child alone.

I wasnt upset charu left, I personally thought she shud have, but what got me angry was that deepali and puja were there. What got me angry was the richa jolly smita and charu all girls left one after another. Is isnt right. See From what I've seen, a guys voice is always more appealing to people. It isnt just becasue the singer is a boy, but naturally their singing voice is more appealing, its more noticeable i think. thats y they get more votes. The girls vote for guys (not because their hot) and the guys also vote for guys. But its high time, we notice the women. Guys I know we should vote for hu we think is talented, but...its high time.We lost a singer like smita already. Some of the guys, really dont deserve charu and smita place on the stage. Vote for Ankita, Puja and Deeplai...lets at least get 2 of them into the top five. Just give them a fair chance to win. Just try and blance things out....vote for a guy if you think he's good, liek i'd be wrong if i say amit or emon dont deserve votes, but if you vote 10 times for them...votes 15 times for a girl jus to balance it out.

I didn't really get affected by Javedji's lecture. I agree that the majority of viewers/voters are female, and girls tend to vote more. Also girls tend to be more jealous of other girls, and maybe that's why they're not voting enough on the girls. It could also be that girls just wanna see there favourite guy in the future and they think the girls will get the votes of the guys who are watching the show.
I think that there is no comparison between II and the world. In the world girls don't get a chance, becoz this is a mans world. The choices are being made by men, becoz mostly men are in charge. II is a girls voting world 😛 I did get touched by what he said that female are also discriminate and stuff. It's true. And it was bad that Deepali and Puja were in bottom 4... but votings are never honest. I think that his lecture might disadvantage the guys. It's good that he woke up the nation, but it might work in the wrong way. And that now all girls think I gotto do this for myself, and sent millions of votes, no matter how bad/good the girls sing. He was also very rude to the guys, I mean what can they do about this. It's not they are voting naa.. anyways I understand his anger, but I don't think the votings are happening consciously. I hope his lecture will work in the right way and not disadvantage the guys.
