Arnav - Khushi - Life Part 57

Khushi became restless after calling Arnav. She couldn't understand why he is not answering her calls. She immediately dialed Aman's number. Before he answers his call, somebody took her mobile and disconnected the call. With this sudden movement, Khushi startled and looked at the person. Seeing her sister smiling teasingly, Khushi temper rose and she shouted

"What the hell is this jiji... here I'm trying to talk with someone and you disconnected the call? What's wrong with you?"

Everybody shocked to see Khushi's outburst.

"Pooh... what's wrong? Why are you looking tensed?" asked Shyam touching her cheeks.

"Bhai... I called Arnav Ji, but he is not answering my phone. Now I'm calling Aman Bhai when he answered the call and before he talks, Di disconnected the call. How can she do this Bhai?"

Everyone in that room wooed at her comment. She looked at them unbelievingly and said "here I'm tensed about Arnav Ji, and you all are laughing? What's wrong with you all?" Khushi shouted. Everybody failed to notice the fear and tears in her face and eyes.

"Khushi... you are so desperate to talk with him? What a love? Anyway in few days you are going to marry him, then why hurry? Wait for more days dear; please don't make things difficult for him. Let him enjoy the free life"

Everybody teased Khushi. Khushi looked at them disgustingly and went from there to her room. Nobody noticed that now Khushi know about who is the groom. Shyam, who watched all these, smiled a little and followed his little sister. When he entered the room, he saw Khushi pacing in her room with the eyes full of tears. Shyam immediately rushed to her and hugged her and tried to sooth her.

"What is this Pooh? Why are you restless? Is something bothering you?"

"Bhai... something is wrong Bhai... something is not fitting here. Arnav Ji never says his name ASR to me. He is always Arnav Ji to me. And the way he is talking is completely different from the way I heard before. He was never tensed about anything. He will get whatever he wants. He was not the kind of person who will get tensed"

"What are you talking about Pooh? Tell me everything clearly" forced Shyam.

Khushi told him about her phone conversation with Arnav (Rahul). She also shared her doubts about the auspicious dates, which she knew from the priest in the temple. She also informed about their YF program and everything she felt as abnormal. Shyam has listened everything whatever Khushi said patiently. He felt something is not fitting in the scene.

"As they said, may be they wanted to surprise you. That's why they said they will go for YF" Shyam tried convince himself more than his sister.

"Then, what about his way of talking? What about his tension filled voice?"

"I don't about way of talking Pooh, but trust me, as much as girls feel tensed about marriage, boys also feels that"

"But, he is not that type" she murmured.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine. Relax and try to talk with Arnav one more time. May be after talking with him, your confusions will get clear" said Shyam

"Hmm..." she hugged Shyam and said "Thanks Bhai... without you, I don't know what I will do. Thanks for your support"

"Chup pagli. You are my sister; I can give my life for you. Don't think much... just relax... everything will be fine. Come let's have lunch and see with the shopping."

"But... Bhai..."

"Come on... you need some relaxation Pooh. Come...," saying this, he led his sister to the dining hall.

After that evening Arnav felt restless for not answering Khushi's phone. After Aman, Anjali and Akash left to YF he called Khushi at night after finishing the dinner. When the call get answered Arnav knew the voice is not Khushi's

"Hello... who is that?" asked Arnav.

"It's me Arnav... Khushi"

Arnav?!!' thought Arnav. "I know it's not Khushi. I know Khushi's voice, so, without wasting my time, tell me who the hell are you? Where is Khushi?" his voice raised a bit.

Everybody in the room looked at Khushi, who is smiling sheepishly and tried to take the phone from her sister.

"Ahaan... so, you can recognize Khushi's voice anywhere. But devar Ji... she is busy now. She can't talk with you till next Saturday. So, control your desperateness and don't try to call her. I'm keeping her phone with me. Whenever you call you have to talk with me. For now, she is busy and can't talk with you. So, please wait till next Saturday. And yeah...don't worry about your surprise. We didn't say anything about you as you requested. She will be surprised when you comes before her" with that Keshi kept the call. Everyone laughed at Khushi's expression. Khushi felt desperate to talk with Arnav to settle her unsettled mind. He looked at Shyam in helplessness, who nodded his head as consoling her. Khushi tried to take the phone from her sister, but couldn't. After trying for some more time, she stopped thinking she will ask later. Everybody thought Khushi is feeling desperate to talk with her groom and they thought Khushi didn't know who the groom is.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? AND WHO THE HELL IS THAT? AND HOW DARE SHE TALK TO ME LIKE THAT?" Arnav paced in his room. He stopped suddenly when he remembered the words uttered by that particular woman. "Devar? Is that lady Khushi's sister? But, why did she call me like that? And why did she ask me to wait till next Saturday? And about what surprise she is talking? What's going on there? I hope Khushi is fine there. Did Khushi want me to talk about anything serious? Did I hurt her or disappoint her?" saying his thoughts aloud Arnav once again dialed Khushi's number. He tried one more time, one more time and one more time... he tried a lot times. But Khushi didn't answer the call. Then he remembered Keshi's words - I'm keeping her phone with me. Whenever you call you have to talk with me - which he doesn't want to happen. He stopped trying to call Khushi thinking that he will talk with her tomorrow. Now, he has important issue - talking with his parents and telling them about him and Khushi. A small smile appeared on his lips Just few days Angel. Then, we will be together all the time. Don't worry... everything will be fine. I will make you mine. I Love you Angel' he thought and went to his parents' room.

"WHAT?!!!!" shouted all the four, who is in the room sitting with Arnav making him close his ears.

"Oh... come on... why are you shouting? I didn't say I'm already married. I just said I'm in love and wanted to marry her. I just want to inform you guys"

Arnav and Aman's parents looked at him shocked, surprised, frighten and unbelievable.

"Chote... what did you say?" asked Akshaya

"Oh God... mom what's wrong? I said I am in love"

"But... But we thought to make you and Lavanya..."

"WHAT?!!!" Now its Arnav's turn to be shocked "Don't do this, if you do then NK and Lavanya will die" said Arnav giving them the hint about his baby brother and his love.

"You mean..."

"Yes... they are. But leave it. I'm not here for talking about them. I'm here it talk about me"

"Okay... okay... but what about that girl? I mean is she okay with you?" asked Akul.

"Of course she is. She is also in love with me. We want to get married immediately after I come from YF. That's why I'm informing you guys beforehand. You will have time to discuss and think. If you have any doubts, please ask me. But this marriage should happen. I need her in my life. I LOVE HER. I'M NOT GOING TO LIVE WITHOUT HER" Arnav clearly said about his feelings. He is clear about whatever he wants.

Everybody looked at him in surprise. Suraj is the first one to come out of the shock. "What's her name" he asked

"Khushi"

"Khushi...???" everyone asked in a doubt.

"Ca...can I see her picture Arnav?" asked Saritha

Nodding his head Arnav showed her Khushi picture, observing her expression. After seeing the picture Saritha's eyes went wide and looked at Arnav with the fear clearly visible in her eyes. Seeing Saritha's expression everyone in the room grabbed the phone and saw the image. They gasped in shock

"Mami... please relax" said Arnav kneeling down before Saritha.

"But... But... Arnav... she is... may be she is..."

"I know Mami... I understand whatever you are trying to say. But we are not sure, because she is confident about her family. Sorry but I can't give you any surety in this Mami. I'm really sorry" said Arnav with tearful eyes. "But Mami... I need her in my life. I love her Mami. I need YOUR permission in this marriage as well. I don't want to hurt you. I know whenever you see her she will remind our Choti. I don't want you to feel sad when you see my future wife. You are important to me Mami. You are my second mother. I can't hurt you. Please think wisely and take decision about this marriage." He turned to everybody and said "I really wish she is our Choti. But I'm not sure. But still I love her. Please think more and take your decision. Please don't be confused. Khushi need each and everyone's acceptance from my family. I can't disappoint her or insult her. As tomorrow I am going for YF, you will have time to think about this till we return. I hope we will get your acceptance"

Arnav went to Suraj and said "Mamu... I know how you feel. I really wanted yours and Mami acceptance. You are important Mamu. I can't go against your wish."

"What if we don't agree for your marriage? What will you say to kh...Khushi...?"

"We will wait for your acceptance. And I'm sure... Khushi will wait for me as much time it takes. She loves me. We never wanted to go against our parents' wish. We will surely wait for your acceptance"

Impressed by Arnav's words, Suraj hugged him and said "Yes from my side" seeing his wife and he continued "And I don't think Saritha will have problem with this alliance. As she reminds our Choti, I really wanted her to come to us. I can see Choti in her. She will become my daughter" understand his words; Saritha nodded her head and said

"I too don't have any objection for this marriage. But I have one request Arnav" seeing Arnav's nod Saritha continued "Whether she is my daughter or not, I need to do all the pre marriage rituals by myself for her. You need to make her and her family agree for this. This is all I want"

Smiling widely, Arnav hugged Saritha and said "Your wish is granted Mami. I will make sure of that"

"I think nobody wants our acceptance here Akshaya, come on let's move from here. We will go to our daughter-in-law house. I think at least she will respect us and recognize our presence," said Akul looking at his son's expressions.

Arnav looked at him with wide eyed and said "Dad...? You mean? Are you?"

"Yes... we are accepting. We are ready to go to her house and will talk with them. You go and enjoy your YF. We will arrange everything before you come back and we will conduct marriage whenever the perfect day available" said Akshaya cupping his cheeks.

Arnav hugged his parents as much tight he can, "I Love you guys... I Love you a lot. Now I can go there peacefully. Thanks a lot... I need to inform Khushi about this. I will be right back" saying this he ran from there making his parents smile seeing his eagerness.

He tried Khushi number lot of times. But nobody answered the call. He became impatient. He tried one last time but she didn't answer the call.

"What Bau Ji? Do you want to say anything? I can't understand what you are saying Bau Ji. Why are you so restless?" tears formed in Khushi's eyes

"Pooh...?"

"Bhai... dekho na... Bau Ji wants to say something but I am not able to understand. Please help me" she is on verge of crying now

"What is it Bau Ji?"

Shashi nodded his head as saying something while making some sounds "maeeyyy... shaaayi...aanav..."

"What?" Shyam also got confused with his words. He tried to understand but he couldn't. He looked at his sister and nodded his head in no as saying he can't understand. Suddenly Khushi started crying seeing her father in that condition. Shyam hugged her tightly and consoled her. Shashi closed his eyes while a lone tear travelled his cheeks. He is very disappointed about his condition.

"No... No... Bhai... I don't get marry. I don't want to..."

"What?" asked shocked Shyam.

"Yes Bhai... I can't get married now. I can't leave you all now. I can't be happy when Bau Ji is in this situation. Please Bhai..."

"Shh... Pooh... it's okay... Bau Ji will be fine. We are here, right? We will take care of him. You don't worry and what we will say to Arnav? He will be sad if he comes to know that you are not ready to get married" Shyam tried to lighten the situation

"No... Bhai... never he will be. Arnav Ji will understand me. He is best Bhai. I will talk with him. I know he will agree with this. Please Bhai... at least give me some time. Please... if I go from here I never can come back to you people. Please I need some more time Bhai..."

Shyam looked at Khushi shockingly. But he couldn't force his sister for anything. He looked at his father who closed his eyes helplessly. All the three Shashi, Shyam and Khushi looked at door hearing Bua Ji's voice.

"Nahi... Nahi... Ji... please don't say that. She is sankadevi. She will say all the things without thinking. She is still a child. Please don't be angry on her. I will talk with her. This marriage will happen"

Both Shyam and Khushi looked at her shockingly with wide eyed.

"..."

"Ji... talk with her" saying this Bua Ji gave phone to Khushi and said "Your to be mother in law"

Khushi looked at Shyam, who assured her to relax and talk

"Namaste" said Khushi

"What is this Khushi? I thought you love my son, but now I have my doubts. Why are you saying that you don't want to marry my son?"

"Ji nahi... I just want to take some time to get marry. As my father is not well, I just want to take time. That's all and I love Arnav Ji" she said in a strong voice.

"What's wrong with you girl? Don't you understand this small thing? If you get marry, it will give immense happiness to your father and it will help your father to recover. And at the same time, you and my son both also will be happy. I don't want this marriage to stop at any cost. It will hold on next Saturday. I don't want to hear any no from you" saying this, Khushi so called to be MIL dropped the call.

Khushi stood there like a statue remembering Arnav's words My mother is very soft natured woman. I never heard her raising her voice at any one. Forget scolding. She never forced anyone for anything'

This can't be possible. If Arnav Ji said then she will be. Then who is it?' Khushi's thought got disturbed with Shyam push

"Pooh... what's wrong? Why aren't you talking anything?"

Seeing everyone, Khushi said "nothing Bhai. Don't worry this marriage will happen"

Sensing something wrong, Shyam didn't ask her much.

After finishing their dinner that night, Shyam went to Khushi's room and asked her about the phone call. Khushi said everything to her brother in detail and also said "Bhai, now I'm sure... she is not Arnav Ji's mother. As per Arnav Ji, she is a soft natured woman. She never raised her voice on any one and she never mentioned or called Arnav Ji as Arnav but Chote. There is something wrong with this alliance Bhai. I don't want to take any risk. I want to meet Arnav Ji before this marriage happens" said Khushi.

Nodding his head Shyam went from there. After Shyam went from the room, Khushi called Arnav from Shyam's number as her sister took hers. After some the call was answered

"KHUSHI..." Khushi can sense the happiness in Arnav's voice.

"Arnav Ji..." she whispered.

Before she says anything Arnav said "Don't worry sweet heart. Everything will be fine. I already talked with my parents. Ma said she will talk with you, did she? Oh god... I can't wait more dear. Just few days... then we both will be together forever. Listen to me Khushi... I need to go... I will talk with you as soon as I reach Chennai. Till then, miss me. Love you Angel. Now I need to go... bye... Love you...," saying this Arnav dropped the call not listening to Khushi as his dad's PA came there for some discussion. (I think dears you remembered that Aman and Arnav are taking care of their business from when Arnav's father fell ill)
