Rucha Hasabnis " better known as Rashi on television " got engaged to her long-time beau in a low-key ceremony. And though the date isn't fixed, the wedding is expected in December or January. She had quit her TV show 'Saathiya' a couple of months ago to spend time with her family before marriage and has no plans to return to acting.

She says, "I have made up my mind and I don't want to continue acting. But I also believe that destiny has a stronger role to play in my life, so never say never." Elaborating on being destiny's child, she adds, "Acting was a hobby, and never a choice. I am a qualified Company Secretary and while was looking for a job in that field, I got offered the role of Rashi. But I realised that the profession of acting is quite demanding as I would spend almost 13 hours on the set. Though it's flattering to be known, the shoot took a toll on my health and personal life after a point. I had been wanting to quit the show for over a year and a half, but continued since the production house was very accommodating. They allowed me to go on my mini vacations to spend time with my brother in the US. Every phase of life is important, and what seems important to me at this time is that I spend time with my family. I don't regret my decision of quitting nor do I miss shooting."

The actress is all praises for the man in her life, but refuses to divulge more, except that his name is Rahul. "We were in the same batch in school, are of the same age and think alike. Besides, being my lover, Rahul is my best friend, philosopher and guide " a soulmate, who completes my world." What drew her to him? "I have always believed that if two people want to be together, they need to be able to talk to each other. I can talk to him about almost everything under the sun. He is sensible, intelligent and kind " everything that I want in my man," she replies.

And what does he think of her acting chops? "To be honest, he has hardly watched my show. He must have seen a couple of episodes from my four-year stint in the show. But once he did say that I am a good actress and loves me in saris. I am not a daily soap fan either, so I am not complaining," she smiles.
