Hi All,

I'm a silent member of this forum for the most part and stopped watching the show regularly after Sid and Roshni moved in with DD.

I couldn't hold back today though - I stay in the loop of the show by reading the written updates and really enjoy the discussion this forum generates and wanted to make a topic.

I must begin by saying I am pretty disappointed and frustrated with the show. I really liked the promos and the first few weeks were fun to watch - SId and Roshni's interactions, Sid's interactions with DD - some pretty witty one liners etc. I really felt the show had so much potential - really why is the responsibility always on women to keep families together and treat her in laws like her own parents - his family as hers etc but when a son in law tries to do something for his in laws aka her family - that is looked down on? I was hopeful that this show would (in an entertaining light hearted way) really highlight this disparity and convey a social message to promote more equality in relationships.

I am thoroughly frustrated with Sid and his parents who are SO rich yet pretend to be paupers (read - middle class) and tolerate all of DD's insults and taunts - all of this for what reason? The reason that Sid can't tell Roshni his real identity because she hates rich people - thinks they are all heartless and ruthless. How you marry someone who's true identity is unknown (didn't they have to get their marriage registered?) how they believe that after this sham that has gone on for countless months - Roshni won't have even BIGGER trust issues - is beyond me. Even if she finds it in her to forgive him and his family as she realizes that they did all this because they didn't want to hurt her and wanted her to know them before disclosing their true identity - but realistically/logically speaking - that will still be hard to over come - how can you trust someone again after they got their entire family to put on a show for you for months?

I do understand this is a TV show and creative liberties are in order and we shouldn't take this so seriously. But really?! There are just some blaring loopholes that are much too obvious to sideline.

How does DD (supposedly self made and now high class) not know of the Khurana's? How do the Khurana's just take over a chawl as and when needed? So odd.

Now coming to the latest track - the Sid/Pratima mystery. It seems to me Pratima is Bablu chachu's secret wife. Now while I can understand Sid is a REALLY nice guy, he wants to set everything right for all members of Roshni's family etc - his lying/scheming is not helping his case especially if Roshni forgives him on this - imagine how much more hurt she'll be when she finds out his true Identity of Siddharth Khurana not Kukreja.

CVs need to turn this ship around fast - it's getting too complicated/convoluted for no good reason.

Yes Sid could tell Roshni and her.family the truth and once he was about to tell them but changed his because he saw how damaged this girl and her mom relationship was...So he decided to change DD views on status and power money and life...He just wanted the woman he loved to be happy and for her to get the love she has been yearning for years and years that is why Sid is keeping the truth to himself he just wanted to change that egotistical women opinion. ...yes we all know that is not an excuse but i believe it and tht fact that he is willing to give up his riches and power just to give the girl he loves the happiness she always dreamt off is so amazing

First of all a good post👏 and I'm really happy that many silent members are making posts now a days, that's a very good sign..

Ok so coming to the points..Most of the points u raised are valid but its just a matter of perception whether u like the show or not. Sid and his family is wrong, no one would deny that fact.

But even with this flaw, I'm liking the show mainly because I beleive its destiny how things happens the way its happen. That is to say, everyone has a dream. Roshni's dream in life is to live a middle class life. Sid directly or indirectly is becoming a reason for her realizing that dream. She would never in her lifetime would be able to experience such difficulties once Sid's truth is known. So, God has given her a chance to live her dream, however short lived it is. Let her live and enjoy..😊

And trust issue is certainly there..Her trust would be badly broken and things would be really bad once truth is out. That is an impending disaster which we are dreading. The problem we are unable to digest Sid lying is b'coz we percieve him as a good guy (which he is), perfect in all ways. But that may not be the case.

But the real logic behind what is shown is that, this middle class drama should go on so that Sid can live in DD's house, otherwise there is no reason why he would stay there.

Anyway all are entitled to their views, its a matter of how we interpret thing..

A very good analysis with strong points. Totes agree with you. I think Sid and his parents should tell the truth now before it's too late. If DD finds out about this, she will make every attempt to break the relationship

Wonderful post and lovely point but DD always wanted her daughter to marry a rich family thus Khuranas are Rich yes they lied to Roshni about being rich but after Sid saw how greedy DD was he continued to lie...So i think if DD do find out they are rich she will not break the msrriage

Bt jst wanna say one thing dat hatering to rich ppl is also in real life n honestly i can really really understand rosh's mindset towards rich ppl...i can even totally cnnct wid dat!

Valid points the truth is being kept secret from the beginning of the show till now. But I am enjoying the show as well.

If DD gets to know they are rich Khurana's then she will not break the rishta she will be happy but then there wont be story because she might change for good. I think that is why they are dragging it.

Pratima matter I found it too annoying for the reason that Bablu should have been the one hiding and meeting Pratima and not SId. How can she break her fast on Karva Chauth and see Sid. Why should Sid break her fast. Anyways good the truth is revealed.
