CHAPTER 2

"Bhabhi, do tell me if you need anything." Smiled Nimisha as she got up after adjusting Navya's lehenga on the bed. The room was beautifully lit up with scented candles and dim lights. The bed was decorated with red roses and the mattress with a heart shape of rose petals giving the room a romantic effect which was enough to make Navya quite nervous.

"And don't be so nervous Bhabhi. Bhai won't eat you up!" Added Nimisha naughtily and went out of the room which increased her nervousness.

Navya got up from the bed and went towards the window. She was looking towards a particular twinkling star.

"Maa, I miss you so much." She said as tears rolled down on her cheeks.

She was so lost in her mother's thoughts that she didn't notice the knob of the door getting turned. Anant entered inside the room to find her standing near the window. He moved towards her.

"Navya" He called her name softly.

She quickly wiped her tears and turned back. Their eyes met for the first time. Anant was mesmerized seeing her. Her big round eyes and her pink lips parted slightly. He has never seen such a beautiful girl whose eyes were filled with innocence.

Navya was silently looking at his hazel brown eyes. She forgot to blink for a second as he was holding her gaze so strongly that it was hard for her to move her eyes away from him.

Suddenly he noticed something and started walking towards her. Navya became conscious seeing this and started moving backwards and hit the window but Anant didn't stop. He bent towards her face making her shock but to her surprise; he extended his hand and removed an eye-lash stuck near her eye. He firmly held her hand and brought it towards her face and placed the eye lash upon her hand.

"I know in what circumstances we got married and it is going to be difficult for both of us but can we start our relationship with friendship?" Asked Anant and looked down at the eye-lash. "Can we make a wish together for a fresh beginning as friends in our life?"

Navya looked at him and a small smile curved on her lips. She nodded her head silently. Anant grinned back. They closed their eyes and blew the eye-lash after counting three, wishing for a new beginning.

Anant leaves her hand gently as they open their eyes.

"Go and change. You must be tired all day wearing this heavy dress." Said Anant with a smile and sat on the bed.

She nodded her head and went to open her suitcase to take out her night clothes. She was really amazed at the way Anant made things easy for both of them. She didn't need to utter a word as he understood her dilemma.

She got up to go to the washroom but stopped midway and looked at him.

"Thank-you." Spoke Navya for the first time to him.

"Thank-you, for what?" He asked back confused and happy that she finally said something.

"For understanding." She said softly and lowered her eyes and went inside the washroom.

He smiled to himself and laid his head on the wall.

She came out wearing a light pink chudidaar-kurta. She saw him sleeping on the sitting position in the bed. Probably he was tired as well due to this marriage function.

Navya came towards him and felt that it might hurt him on the neck if he sleeps like this for the rest of the night so she took one pillow and slowly placed it behind his head and covered him with a blanket. She lay behind him and gazed at him till she falls asleep as well.

Aru, kya mast update hai, yaar!! I am seriously sorry, darling!! Diwali hain tho busy thi!! Ab dekh I am the first na!!! Thanks God that Anant is understanding or else I would have felt like watching IPKKND and would have probably fainted cause I cannot compare Anant and Arnav SIngh Raizada!!!! Now, Pati-Patni mai sirf friendship kabhi ho nahi sakta hai!! To waiting for the love!!

Thanks a lot Vini n its okk I can understand, these festivals are very important. Yeah they r Anant-Navya not Arnav-Khushi of IPKKND so it has to be different. I think pati-patni mein ek comfort zone hona chahiye which can be achieved with friendship but yes definitely pyaar toh hona hi hota hain!!😉😊
