Did Sakshi marry Rajnath for revenge?

She does love Shaurya and had loved some man once (maine bhi pyar kiya tha dialogue from past).

What we know about her:

- she was an orphan

- grew up alone, was once on streets and in such dire straits that she stole bread from a dog

- she could do anything for survival

- has learnt and done gambling from young age

- has learnt piano from childhood

- she loved someone once

- now she loves Shaurya only, that too, like crazy, as a possessive mother

What this could imply:

- she was absorbed in a circle of shady people.

- possibly worked at some club where she did gambling and worked as musician

- was probably witness to power games and shady dealings of the rich & famous

WHAT I THINK about her love, marriage, child:

I could be wrong. But I wonder if she loved a guy who was a criminal himself? What if her guy worked for Rajnath and Rehmat for money? What if he was a contract killer or shady dealer?

It could be that her "love" did some dirty work for Rajnath and other rich men. Rehmat could be on Rajnath's payrolls too. They were responsible for eliminating the guy she loved. Probably eliminated him to finish evidence of something big like Arnab's murder. Sakshi took this to heart and vowed to take revenge for her "love's death".

Maybe she married Rehmat just to kill him off. And also married Rajnath to punish him for life.

She likes to see him in stress and pain. She did not like his touch in initial episodes. She constantly taunts him. She reminds him repeatedly of his big crime. It must be thus that she has a bone to pick with Rajnath!

Her child was either that lover's child, she found she was pregnant and maybe decided to go ahead with pregnancy to keep that lover's "nishaani" and blackmailed Rajnath into marrying her for twin reasons of revenge and giving richie rich powerful name to her child. Or maybe child is Rajnath's only...but she loves her son and not the father. (Maybe they both got drunk and did it...Rajnath baba is a perv anyway)

Shaurya's lineage seems confusing to me as well. He does have traits like Rajnath and Rajnath seems possesive for him too (the way he cried at hospital and the way Raima also tolerates everything for Raj ka beta sake). But then he has distinct sadakchaap traits, Sakshi's love for him is almost abnormally possesive and Rajnath too blackmailed him once...which is not that fatherly. Still which man is such a fool who doesn't know child is his or not?

Sakshi's told Durga that she finds many similarities with her. Durga married in Goenka clan for a purpose. Sakshi too must have changed identity and married for a purpose.

Her killing spree happens only when she wants revenge or when she wants to protect someone (going by patterns in the show).

I feel what she did to Rehmat and Rajnath could possibly be part of her own revenge against them or for that lover she had "sachcha pyar" for.

I also dislike that EHT CVs don't reveal Sakshi's past properly! Neither do they show Nitya's parents and their employee-employer relationship with Goenkas. How did they allow Dev into their house? Or their daughter into Dev's room? Aren't middle class people conservative? And how come Goenka trio had no problem with driver's girls roaming about their house?

On Sakshi I feel she suffered some big shock in life that made her so emotionless. Her being an orphan and growing up among shady people may be one reason. But loss of "love" (either by death or cheating, whatever) also seems to have made her construct a wall of aggression around her as if for self preservation. Her heart opens up only for Shaurya. Nobody else.

Yeah he doesn't love her. Neither does she.

But he knows she had loved once.

Sakshi blackmailed Raj yet she was disappointed to learn about his affair.Also, she never doubted him and his silly excuses. Take the farmhouse incident as an example.

Somewhere down the line I think Sakshi has developed feelings for Rajnath- after all they are alike n their criminal ways- although Sakshi might never admit this to herself due to her massive ego , pride and her possibly early life experiences of trauma.

Also because acknowledging one's feelings and becoming emotional would make her weak and detract her from her focus- which is about being in control of people and situations at all times to reach her goals.

I think her underling objective at all times is to stay on top where she is now and to never return to the depths ( streets) that she has come from. By piecing together information from her past it appears that she might be severely traumatised by events in her early life which has required her to become this person she projects to be. We still do not know about what happened to her before the age of 6 and how she lost her home and possibly her childhood.

Convincing herself that she is this unemotional, hard ,cold and driven person helps her to get what she wants and does not allow others to know her well enough, does not expose her weaknesses( other than Shaurya) and limits the potential for others to control her. In other words it helps her from the possibility of being re-traumatised in some form or the other again in life.

That's why I think Sakshi plays her cards close to her chest; does not acknowledge her own feelings

for people around her; and is perhaps in denial of her feelings for Rajnath too.

Yes, the relationship started off with Sakshi blackmailing Rajnath but there may have been other emotions that came into play from her side which she has not allowed herself to acknowledge.

I am not ruling the revenge angle - anything is possible as we do not have all the gaps filled in her story. Her revenge could be related to her story of becoming homeless. Perhaps Rajnath / his

family had a hand in this.

To me , Sakshi comes across a some one who is deeply hurt emotionally and is frightened of her own feelings and of feeling hurt / traumatised again. She is a lot more comfortable with feeling angry and so will perhaps never admit it even if her feelings for Rajnath have changed over the years. She reminds him and herself of his shortcomings to help create and maintain the the emotional distance between them as this just suits her fine.

Sakshi never doubted because she doesn't bother. She is not attached to him like a normal spouse would be. I think news of affair disappointed her more because she was fooled for years. It was like a defeat for her. Plus she was more irked at Raima entering lives of her kids than the affair with Rajnath.

I think Sashi felt hurt and upset at the discovery of the Rajma affair partly because she, the smart Sakshi was fooled but also because of the realisation that she there a few things that one cannot control. She can control Rajnath's behaviour but can can never fully control his thoughts and feelings and that she has a small/no place there. Also that the emotional distance she has tried to create was in fact quite redundant in a way as Rajnath has been way ahead of her and even managed it so smoothly without much drama all these years!

Of course Sakshi being Saakshi would make herself and us believe that she was upset about being fooled and that's that .

I do think that Sakshi tries hard to let herself and us viewers believe that she does not care ... but I think the lady does protest too much.

I am simply reading between the lines... I could be wrong but this is just another hypothesis!
