Jay Soni aka Samar Singh in Prithviraj Chauhan is all set to morph into a fierce Ravan. He makes a leap from the baddie in Prithviraj Chauhan to the lead in Ravan. Jay's track in Prithviraj Chauhan has been on the missing list for sometime now. This propelled the actor to look for a better role. Jay acted in Rahul Rawail's film, Buddha Mar Gaya and then signed on as Ravan.

Says a source, "Jay was not happy with his track in Prithviraj Chauhan. Initially, his role was promising, but eventually the role lost its charm when the track completely shifted to Prithviraj's story. Jay stopped shooting for Prithviraj… almost two months ago. He started work on the film, so dates were also clashing. Now he is starring in and as Ravan. Recently, when his role was revived on Prithviraj Chauhan, he had to refuse as he has better offers."

Jay is excited about working in Ravan and is also catching up on CDs of its previous episodes.

"I was called for a look test in Ravan. I was extremely exhausted by the time I had reached Umargaon for the audition, but I was later told that they liked me for the lead role. It is going to be a very challenging role for sure and for now I am preparing myself to play the ideal Ravan," says Jay.

Adds Jay, "I was playing the parallel lead in Prithviraj... And working in a film was a better option, so I decided to work with Rahul Rawail. And now I have a good show like Ravan in hand, where I have a great role to portray." The actor will start shooting in a week for Ravan and his track will be on air next month.

But Ravan has to grow older some day right? He can't be a little kid forever. 😆 I think this guy is going to play an older version of Ravan. 😃

Yeah...I'll definitly miss the kid Ravan he did a real good job. but yeah he does gotta get older to his teenage years and this is where this new actor would step in. Hopefully he does a good job like the current boy Ravan.

When they introduced him as the new Ravan, I was sad because I miss the children... 😔 but actually, he's a good Ravan... nice actor, thanks for the article! 😛
