Priya opened the door. He was standing there in a light blue shirt and formal pants, his hair was little messy but he looked adorable in all ways. "Hey" Ram called Priya. "Ram, thanks for coming here" she said "I am glad you called me, shall we leave?" he asked. she gave him a nod. He led the way to his car and like a gentleman opened the door for her. she hurried inside, she was feeling dead tired but this maybe important. She didn't realize that the car was already moving. Ram was such an awesome driver "so who's this patient of yours?" Ram asked "he came to the hospital today and he was really upset, didn't speak anything, but he called me and said it was really important" she told him "I am really glad you called me, Priya its ok to care for your patients, but that doesn't mean you should run behind them like this" he said "Ram, if I had thought that way, that would be selfish, I am not running behind them, but this man he really needs me I think" she said "if so then I am glad" he said "and I called you because, last time you saved me, I promised to call you the next time I travel late" she said. he laughed "well, I was thinking that you desperately wanted to see me" he said. she punched him lightly "Ram shut up, and you flew me a kiss in front of Kate, that was so embarrassing, I am glad she didn't notice it, else the teasing would be worse" she said "Kate teases you? I didn't know that" he asked "well she does, a lot, loads these days" she said. Ram smiled "so ready for the tour?" he asked "not exactly, its not decided yet" she said. he stopped the car. "Ram what are you doing?" she asked he turned to face her. taking his phone, he dialled a number quickly "Roger, its Ram" he said. Priya looked stunned at Ram, making actions to him to cut the call "Roger, I want a two weeks leave for Priya, the neurologist in your hospital, its really important please" he said. Priya was looking at him without a blink, as he talked to Roger and cut the call thanking Roger "now, he is ok with it, so its finalized" Ram told her "Ram, you cant boss me like this, its my wish" she said. he held her hand and looked directly into her eyes "I can boss you, cant I?" he asked slowly. She looked at him and gave a light nod. He gave a quick smile "that's my girl, so its finalized" he winked and kissed her hand which he held. She looked at him "Ram, you are..." "Ooops, sorry" he bit his tongue. And turned to drive the car.

The drive was silent. Ram looked at her through the corner of his eyes, "Are you smiling?" he asked. she looked at him and smiled "yes" she said "why?" he asked "shouldn't I smile without a reason?" she asked "you know, when you smiled without a reason it means you are in love" he said. she laughed "really? How do you know when you are in love?" she asked "according to my experience, you feel happy when you are with your loved one, and you dream the whole day, and the main one all the songs you listen looks like they were written for you" he said. "that's really funny Ram" she said "Ram, you like Alex don't you?" she asked "Priya, it doesn't matter whether I like him" he said "it does, she is your best friend so it really matters" she said "I like him Priya, and I really like them together, Kate was never serious about any relations as far I know, and I really happy she had got Alex now" he said "yeah, that's right" she said "so you were secretly in contact with Alex?" he asked "well, he calls me his sister" she said. Ram laughed "Is he mad to call such a hot woman as his sister" "stop it Ram, I think we have reached" she said. Ram parked the car in a side "mind if I come with you?" he asked "sure, bit if hes uncomfortable then you have to leave" she said "deal" saying Ram got off the car. They entered a restaurant.

A man was sitting in the far corner, where it was dimly lit. Ram could see that he was dark, lean and he was in a jean and tshirt having a drink. "Priya is that the guy?" he asked "yeah, come on" she said and went to man. Ram somehow didn't like the man at all. He felt some strange feeling that it was not good for Priya to be with him. the man got up seeing them "so doctor, you have come with your boyfriend" he asked "yeah, its really late, and I don't like her going alone at this time" Ram replied before Priya could say anything. Priya looked at Ram with a "what did you just tell" expression. Ram simply smiled at her. "I am Stefan" the man told Ram. "Ram" "I want a word with your girl alone" Stefan said. Ram clenched his fist. Intially he didn't like Stefan, now he hated him. Priya nudged Ram "as we said you can wait Ram" she told him "I am not leaving you alone with him" Ram told her , Priya looked at him "Ram this is my patient and he needs privacy to tell me, I wont make it long" she said "I want you in my sight" Ram said quickly "ok you can sit a little away Ram" Priya told him. he gave a nod and looked at Stefan who was smiling now "over protective" Ram was able to hear him mumbling. Ram took a few seats away from them and ordered juice for him.

Ram's eyes were fixed on them. He could see Stefan saying something to Priya who was listening very carefully and giving him some advices. Ram loved this side of Priya. Caring so much for her patients, trying to ease their pain whether it was physically or mentally. He could see Stefan taking her hand and telling something. Priya was trying to take it away gently. Ram felt his inners burning. He didn't like this man at all, and now he was touching her. Ram looked away.

He felt a tap in his shoulder "sorry it was late" her voice rang in his ear..!! "I can wait my whole life for someone like you" he said. she smiled "too dramatic, lets get going" she said. he got up and found Stefan behind Priya "so Ram, see you then, bye" saying he left and waved a bye to Priya. He looked light and more handsome now "figured out his problem?" Ram asked her as they walked out "he promised to listen to me, he lost his wife and is really depressed" she told him "and so what does he want, why was he holding your hands?" Ram asked as he opened the door for her. Priya turned to look at him "are you jealous?" she asked smiling "yes I am, I didn't like him Priya" he said "why?" she asked "do you like him?" he asked "I don't like him, nor do I hate him, hes my patient Ram" she said "Whatever, hope his problem is over soon" he said. she smirked and entered the car. Ram got into the driver seat "and I need a promise, whenever your going to meet this guy you should call me" he said. she looked at him, his eyes were serious "Okay" she said slowly. He gave a quick smiled and turned to ignite the engine. "Ram you really look like a cute little kid when you smile you know" Priya said. Ram smile broadly "really?" he asked "yes, and your cheeks they are so chubby, like I want to pull them, and play with them" saying she smiled. "Kate has said me this once" he said. priy nodded "it must be really nice to have her as your friend isn't it?" she asked "yes, she is amazing, but I have never let her pull my cheeks a single time" he said. Priya laughed "that's too bad" she said. "Maybe, I always behave like that with her" he said. the car halted all of sudden. "hooo, what happened" she asked. "seems like we have some problem" saying Ram tired to start the car. "I think we need to take a taxi home" he said. she checked her watch "its nearly 1, I ddnt think we can find any taxi, why don't we take a walk, it think its not to far" she told him. "mm, ok" "and you can take my car home" she suggested. He raised his brow "are you sure, then how will you go to the hospital tomorrow?" he asked "I will find a way" she said. he gave a nod and got down.

Tucking his hands in his pocket he walked silently beside her. the place was totally silent, he could here her anklets dangling in her feet. It was the most beautiful sound he felt "lost somewhere?" she asked "I am here" he smiled "It's a beautiful night" she said "yeah, but I am not a great fan of taking late night walks" he said "I should have guessed that, you're a late night driver" she said. he laughed "one day you should come with me when I go for a ride, and then you will know the peace it gives" he said "really? Then I think I should give It a try" she said "always welcome, Priya can I ask you something?'' "go ahead Ram" she said "this Josh, I mean you guys were together for a long time, so he must have done many things for you right?" he asked "Yeah, Josh was a continuous surprise, I loved all his surprises, he get me small things now and then, takes me to holiday trips, makes sure I was happy, but I have stopped thinking about them now, the more I think, the more I live in the past, I want to move Ram" she said. he smiled "you will, and I am here to help you, sorry I didn't want to make you sad I just wanted to know about him" he said "yeah that's ok, when I tell you about him I don't feel so bad, its like my heart is weighing lighter, if it was Kate I would have been in a pool of tears now" she said "Priya I hate tears in your eyes, really, I just hate them" he said. she smiled "ok, I will try my best not to cry, done" she said. he gave a nod "your feeling cold, I dont have a jacket" she said "its ok, just I am not used to walking this late" he said. she moved herself closer to him and wrapped her hand around hi waist "give you my warmth" she winked. He smiled and put his hand around her shoulder "really warm" he said.

Kate ran to the door "who is this early in the morning" she grumbled. "Ram, what your doing her so early?" she asked opening the door "good morning baby" Alex came from behind Ram. "Alex, you too" she said. he hugged her lightly and dropped a kiss on her forehead "I came to deliver this gift of yours" Ram told her "that's so sweet" saying she hugged Ram "come in both of you" "Kate I am here to drop you today" Alex told her "Okay then let me get my bag" saying she rushed in and came out with her bag "Ram please tell Priya I left" saying she left with Alex. Ram waved them both and locked the door. He scanned the home slowly, there was no sign of Priya. Taking all his courage he entered her room, he was able to hear the faint sound of the shower, and a humming. He smiled "it must be her" saying he walked out of the room and sat on the couch taking a magazine.

"Alex this is the wrong direction" Kate told him "shhh, don't I know that, I am taking you out today, from the ti me I came, I wasn't able to spend a single minute with you alone and today its for me, call your boss ask for an off" he said "what if he doesn't agree?" she asked "I will make him" he winked. She smiled "I love you" "Love you too, and I have made all the reservations, make sure you will have a nice time" he said "thankyou" she whispered as he smiled at her

"Ram what are you doing here?" Priya asked coming out her room "god, she looks so pretty with her hair wet" he thought "Ram" she called "err, sorry, I came to give you a ride, remember I took you car yesterday night" he said . she smiled "I told you I would manage" she said "my heart didn't listen to that" he said "youre unbelievable, let me get ready" "I will wait" he said.

"Priya I didn't know that you drive this well" he said "do you think doctors are worse drivers?" she asked. he smiled "what will my employee think if they see you dropping me at my office?" he asked "if you drop me at the hospital, then you will come to pick me back, but if I drop you here, I am sure you can go home yourself" she said "so mean" he whispered "Ram, are we leaving tomorrow morning?" she asked. "yeah, Alex and I will pick you guys at 6 in the morning, Alex must have told Kate already" he said. she nodded "wow your company is really big" she said, the gate opened and Amir was waiting for his boss "damn it" Ram said. Priya laughed "have a nice day Sir" she said "stop playing Priya" "I am sure all will think that I am your girlfriend" she said as she halted the car "in that case I am ok with it" saying he kissed her on her forehead "very happy day" saying he winked and got down. Priya looked at him, not knowing what had just happened. She saw Ram waving at her and waved him back and then sped the car towards the hospital.

"Kate, I am not taking these dresses with me ok" she said "Priya, I am done packing for both of us, so just get the necessary things needed, dresses I have done" Kate said "Kate, I have to check the dresses you have packed" Priya told her "don't you trust me, I have packed wearable ones ok, so now stop saying you want too check" Kate pulled her to the couch "you know Priya, today Alex took me out, I mean I haven't felt so much loved before and guess what?" she said pointing at the ring in her finger "Kate he proposed?" Priya asked "yes, isn't that awesome" "Kate this is perfect, god the ring is so cute, Alex really loves you a lot" Priya said "I know and I love him the same way, thanks Priya, you're the one we are together now" she said and hugged her tightly "shut up, you are my sister" Priya said "then as a sister I should make sure Ram and you get along" she winked "stop it Kate, Ram is a good friend" Priya said "friends can be good husbands you know, if you reject Ram no problem I will take him" she teased "stop it Kate, comeon the last of packing should be done" Priya pulled her inside.

Ram and Alex was sitting in the garden "Ram you don't drink?" Alex asked "not exactly, I cant handle myself, so I don't drink" Ram said "I am so happy today Ram, I proposed Kate" "wow, I mean that's totally cool, what did she respond" Ram asked "she said yes, and when she said that, I felt that I taking a responsibility and I should keep her happy always" he said "and if you don't, always remember she has me as her friend" Ram told him as they both laughed "hows Priya getting along? Kate told me about you guys and that's why I wanted you both to come to goa with me" Alex said "that's really sweet" "I am sweet always, but you always fail to notice Ram" he said. "I never knew you were such a good company" Ram said "and same here, so mate, I will help you in all ways to make you close with her" Alex promised "I really need that" Ram said "cheers to Priya then" Saying Alex raised his drink. Ram smiled and raised his juice "cheers"
