According to Praneet, Ali uses the same gaali over him and other people casually. For which Ali had apologized to him today.

So if Ali uses the same gaali in a casual manner, it might give Gulati an impression that he could say the same to Ali as well. I think whatever happens today was part-misunderstand and part-drama.
