I agree with you. I find it really absurd, & negligent on the nurses' part to prepare for jagrata during duty hours, rather than taking care of the patients. They are neglecting their primary duty for something that should not even be permissible. Also, its quite unreal, don't you think so? Which hospital has this kind of a situation where so many nurses are not doing their duty & doing other things not related to their work, without the other staff even finding out?
The only explanation/reason I can think of having this jagrata situation is to bring up the hospital finances issue. Could it be that the nurses have been using the hospital's resources for the jagrata preparations & for making the halwa. Number of times, they've also shown the nurses having parties for patients, making special meals for them (which Karan warned against) - so could it be that these extra things the nurses do are increasing the cost of running the hospital? I hope it is, at least the jagrata thing will make some sense, no matter how illogical it is.
Exactly! If this on their lunch break, on their time, I woudn't be completely satisfied, but at least they aren't neglecting their patients. But all of them are as they're making this halwa! I get that they're trying to show this hospital being different and about caring and all that, but these nurses are neglecting their job which they are getting paid for to do these things , and that to me really just comes of as unreal.
@Bold - So true! I mean especially if they were actually planning on doing the religious event during the night, fine Karan and Dimple may not be in the hospital, but I'm sure there will be other staff there. Would they be okay with it? Will they not tell Karan or Dimple? I just don't understand how this works sometimes.
And that's a great point about the finances. Definitely did not think of that. I was thinking more along of the lines of the finances being a reason to get Avi's mum back into the hospital setting and being mean and all that crap.
I think another aspect about it, now with the connection to finances, might be something along of the lines of all of these nurses not even doing the job they're being paid for, so maybe they can dismiss them and save the money that is spent on their salaries. I feel like that kind of a snarky comment might definitely come from a Dimple, "the hospital is clearly still running fine without them doing their jobs so why pay them to show up and make halwa or something like that?"
