They had that episode where Indra was unable to move a twig that Mahadev challenged him to, much to Bali's amusement 😆 (In the original story, it was actually Vishnu who got humiliated in that manner)

Also, after the episode where the Asuras failed to get anything (that was one of Jalandhar's beefs against the devas), Mahadev granted Shukracharya the Sanjeevani herb which would enable asuras to come back to life. Here, if you say that Shukrachaya revived them after the battle, then what DkDM showed wasn't far off

That story happened elsewhere, not after this episode.
Oh ya, he gives the Sanjeevani.
But actually that happened way back, after Shukra finished his very first tapasya.

I just think it's important to learn the main meaning behind each story. Trying to understand in which yuga or manvantara each happened can give us a headache. 😆 Some puranas claim the Ramayan and Mahabharata happen in each manvantara over and over, whereas other puranas claim they happen only once, and the Ramayan happened in a previous manvantara while the Mahabharat happened in the current manvantara. Who knows? Personally, I believe the Ramayan happened in the current manvantara because the historical evidence people have found wouldn't have existed if it happened in a previous manvantara, since the world is said to be destroyed and created over once a manvantara is completed. It's each to their own opinion, I guess.

That is my problem.. I cannot simply be satisfied with the story, my brain immediately asks the next doubt - When?😆

Ramayana... should I rename the topic as Yugas and Manvantaras? Seriously asking.

To add to your confusion...

In the Lalita Sahasranama, the Devi is described as "Karanguli Nakhotpanna Narayana Dashaakritihi..."

Meaning : the Devi created, from her fingernails, the ten avataras of Vishnu. Why?

Because, during Her battle with Bhandasura, the asura summoned many asuras such as Hiranyaksha / Hiranyakashipu / Kaartaveeryarjuna / Ravana...etc etc.

To combat them, the Devi instead of battling them individually thought it more convenient to summon the ten avatars of Vishnu.

So what perhaps we can understand is that the asuras though "killed ", did raise their ugly heads from time to time.

Ya, I know that. Ravanastra, Hiranyakasipu-astra..😆

So, like the Greek monsters, these asuras too are immortal in their own way.. That's what you are trying to say right?

So yeah, should I rename this thread?
