I think it was the timing of who said what than the diff btw shobha's friend being a female and vikram being a male. I think the main diff was that shobha's friend words at that time wasn't appropriate coz she is her friend instant of telling her to see the truth she should have been more supportive and just have listened to her. Let her come to terms with the news and than a day or 2 later tell her to face reality. And more than anything it seemed like her friend probably didn't like her husband and was happy that his true colors had been revealed. Friends are always supportive and harsh when a friend needs a reality check bt they harsh at the right time. Vikram I have to say somehw his directness even though he is blunt doesn't come out as harsh sometimes bt as just being honest. He makes sense coz he doesn't have an interest in anything.

Like Vikram explained in the epi today.. he is a nobody .. his rudeness shouldnt bother Shobha. But in her friends case.. she could have just given a hug before jumping the gun. Let me wonder out aloud as to where is the wonderful friend right now as Shobha keeps her first step in the real world???
